I was wondering if the predaking set was an official takara toy released by them or are they clones?

There is an official Predaking gift set from takara: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...158&mode=retail

Some Big Lots had some miscolored KOs a while back.  I never saw them though.

kwel gonna get one then....LOL...

Metal chest version too! *loves his set*

None of them had metal chests.  It was metal waists, except for either Tantrum or Headstrong (I never remember which) with a metal back.

:igrot  Really? Wow!  :igrot

They're known as "metal chest" versions.

Whatever you call it, the Predacons were reissued with die-cast metal parts rather than plastic. Hot Rod, Kup and Rodimus Prime were also reissued as their die-cast versions as opposed to their plastic variants.

im tempted to get the set aswell but the price tag is a bit step for my liking but saying that your getting 5 reissues in one set

I payed a fair whack for mine, but it's beautiful! If you're after a 'bot that does nothing except look awesome standing on a shelf, Predaking's the man! (men? 'bots?)

I was considering buying them, but the price is more than I can fully afford and they're hard to find.
