This will be the second greatest Megatron figure after Cybertron Megatron... that is all.

I'm very very late. I was out buying Nemesis Breaker, Crying at the sight of the Metroplex in Target *Curse Target for not having Layaway!!* and getting my X3 tickets.

 

If I'm right all 7 Pages of this thread have been full of  Megatron hate. I'm going to say right now that I like him. I like that he even still has a slightly more intricate transformation than the Autobots. I like the colors of the gun. He is truly a robot in disguise. I bet no one who isn't a TF fan will even know he's a Transformer. They did a good job of taking the line back with that fig.

 

Example go outside to some cops holding the G1 Megs, they wont know it's a TF either

He's a really cool fig, but he supposed to be a G1 remake(though uptaded). People are just complaining about the fact that he don't/can't look like a real gun, or it coulda been better if he was a gray tank.

 

If we didn't look at him as a cheap remake of gun Megs, this'd be the best Megatron toy in years..

I don't have a problem with the gun design itself, or even the orange...it's the absence of any other G1 Megs colors aside from the Gray/Silver.

 

I will also say that it's not a case of hating this figure. The figure is nice and I will definitely be buying him....it has more to do with the fact that Hasbro WILL NEVER GIVE US A G1 COLORED MEGATRON...and no Cybertron Galvatron doesn't count.

Actually, look at the Cybertron Decepticon figs. Silver, Purple, Red, Orange, Yellow and Black has been a running theme. They also have the occasionaly green and light blue/teal. Sideways, Dark Crumplezone, Scourge, Ransack, Scrapmetal, Lugnutz, and TRU Screamer, they all look like they are in the same gang with simular colors.

Best Megatron head sculpt EVER.  Maybe they'll do a "Galvatron" version in C-Galvatron's colors... or maybe not.

So you are saying that Classics Astrotrain and Megatron are colored to a certain Decepticon theme then? If so, Starscream has a lot of explaining to do.

Well he is light gray/white

I like him, except for the green "wings", but they look pretty easy to pop off, so no biggie there.  Still, Astrotrain is my favorite out of this line, but I will probably get them all.

And woot!!  This megatron can go with my collection of transformers "role playing" stuff.

But what've we learned today, kids? We learned that it's okay to make guns like this, but it's not okay to make them look real.
