C'mon, relasing it so near MP Screamer is stupid, we all know everyones gonna go for him first. There's not much point really (especialy if MP4 is more pricey than MP3)

Yep, the timing sucks, plus the price tag is too much for anyone but collectors to want to pay. The obvious problem w/ that is that any serious collector has had MP-01 for 2 yrs+ and unless they are an absolutely die-hard collector, isn't willing to shell out another $160 for essentially the same damn thing. Plus, you add in the MP SS factor and they probably do have a shelf warmer on their hands.

maybe the folks can play with MP1 and shelf MP4? LOL I know I will....I didnt know MP1 was out 2 years now I just did a pre order on MP1 from maybang.com they said june...

BBTS is saying it will be a replacement for the MP-01 rerelease, which I think is great.  I do think collectors will buy it and I think it will do pretty well.  I think peoples still want the original and prices, as people have noted have gone north of $300.  Next to that 160 + trailer seems like a steal.  I think this will sell just fine as the people putting out $100 for MPOP will still do the same for a 160 MPOP with trailer.  I don't think this would work for Hasbro as their market is smaller for these types of toys.  They's have to come in for under 100 to be marketable, I think.

It is cheaper, especially if you already have the 20th Prime add a JustToy trailer like the one I am selling for $60 and you got a deal. Heck you don't even have to wait for the release of the MPP4 either. Want one? Pm me or check out the Tfieds listing!  :thumb

 

I bet others are saving their money by doing the samething! Also the JustToys trailer has a matching box for the MPP if youhave that version.

We don't know what it will look like yet.

I'm guessing at this price-point it will NOT be transformable, and will have no extra goodies.  I could be wrong, but for now I'm going with my gut feeling.

the yen price is double that of mp-01. and that means the trailer cost almost as much as prime itself. for that price, it had better be openable and coming with a good roller. electronics perhaps. but seriously i think takara will up justitoy's version. no way a company will lose to a bootleg version(bootleg as in not official but still good stuff) if it knows about the bootleg version(since the unofficial trailer was quite well-known).

Still doubt it'll be 100% show accurate and tranformable. If they don't even have a prototype why the hell are the advertising already!  :redface It's their job to show something to the public that they'd potentially want to buy. Showing up a pic that looks like cardboard is stupid, but they it's their choice just like its our choice not to have high hope or to support this.

One can only hope. However at least the JustToys version was promptly released to match the hype and demand for the 20th and MPP. Tak/Has really fracked on on this w/delays and their poor planning.

If it is transformable, they should sell it seperately as well.  How can they just ignore all of us, here and in Japan, who've been with the Masterpiece/20th Prime since the beginning?
