hi Cyclonus here, im from Australia and was wondering if any one knows where i can get the japanese beast wars series' on dvd.

Phwoar! You're looking at a 7-8 year old series here... you're gonna have to scour places for old 2nd hand DVDs, cos they're no longer in current production or distribution.

I personally don't think it's worth it... they're fairly ordinary series. (-_-)

thanks for the help mate  :thumb

japan beast wars series were:

1/ beast wars. this is the same as the usa one but some eps were deleeted and shortened to fit into the japanese continuity.

2/ beast wars 2nd.  only available on video.  at the time it was out, it was about 400 us dollars for the whole 14 odd odd video collection.

3/ beast wars the movie.  dvd was about 30 us dollars and took place between season 2 of usa beast wars and beastwars 2 japanese series.

4/ beast wars neo. was available on dvd.

please note that transformers dvds in japan were very difficult to get when they were released first in japan. in japan, gundam is king. tfs are only avaialble as toys easily. other stuff, like kabaya model kits and especially dvds, were sold in very limited numbers at toys r us, in the corner between millions of overpriced disney and studio ghibli dvds.  I had a hard time getting armada ones.

also, dvds themselves are really pricey over here in japan. the rereleased g1 dvds in japan were horrendously expensive, as they were aimed at the new rich otaku that spend oodles on rip off anime stuff.

another way to get them is to download many from bit torent or buy/download a fan-subbed episode. these will also have the benefit of english subtitles-something none of the japanese episodes have!

use google. and I advise that you not buy it through Ebay. Go to a store where you can see a person and pick out what you would like to purchase.
