The main characters do in this script, the rest are just effects without voice or personality.

 

As far as Soundwave's supposed involvement it goes like this:

 

1. "Fake" Script has a non talking Decepticon helicopter called Grimlock.

 

2. They change his name, rumours of Soundwave as helicopter surface - fans Starscream.

 

3. Don mentions Vortex in relation to movie and fans assume Soundwave has been dropped.

 

4. Rumours of kennywave surface; a small music device that transforms without mass shifting and becomes so thin he gets his head knocked off by Mikeala more than once - fans Starscream.

 

5. Don is at a convention and says something along the line of Soundwave maybe not being in the movie because of probnlems realting to his alt mode handling.

Rumours of kennywave being called Soundbyte begin.

This guy has certainly seen A draft. It may or may not be the very latest, since the stuff about Kennywave being renamed as something else have only surfaced since Don mentioned he was expecting a new draft. It could be it's a copy of the last version circulated to the production team etc.

 

It's certainly a post-Arcee version.

 

As regards Megatron speaking, it does say in the review that Megatron does, indeed, speak.

 

it's not so positive about the rest of the character though. If you believe the...er... fake script to have been an early draft, then in that none of the other Decepticons speak or display any signs of sentience or personality whatsoever.

Understandable, so here's something official.

All the names, many alt modes and the scene with the Scorpion have all been confirmed by Bay or recent casting info.

 

So unless he's stolen chunks of a fake script in circulation long BEFORE the official confirmations, it is at the very least an early draft or deliberately leaked red herring conatining much of the true script.

sounds like the movie decepticons are similar to G1 Shockwave: alien machines that are ruthlessly logical and efficient. i have no problem with that since it's certainly better than portraying them as a bunch of retards like Cybertron does.

imagine a G1 fanboy who can't even remember G1 properly despite owning all the DVDs according to himself.

 

now cross that with a Micheal Bay fanboy(how it is possible for that man to have a fanboy, I'll never know..)

 

add in a massive nostalgia filter

 

mix with what has to be literal feliacio of the script

 

pour in something about not Powerglideing with latinos(Some r&b guy did a scam on a latino script writer)

 

shake well

 

and you have this abortion.

Thanks Angel and IST. I've been scared to read all the comments cause I dont want to ruin my experience. it's hard enough being a fan of Super Hero movies as is. Since you know all the Characters special powers and abilities, it's damn easy to guess what's going to happen in the movies they are in. Example, In X2, Wolverine gets shot in the head. My wife goes, "Is he dead?!" I'm like, "No, his Skull is made of metal. He'll heal and get back up."
