Opening E-hobby figures

Recommended Posts

Quick question, does anybody open their E-hobby transformers, or do you guys leave them sealed in the box so they will be worth something one day?  Because even though I have the Blaster re-issue, I am tempted to open Twincast right now.

I don't have any E-Hobby TFs, but I'm generally of the opinion that toys are toys and meant for playing.  If you buy toys in hopes of increased resale value as collector's items, IMO you're wasting your time and money.  You'd be better off opening your own online shop and dealing directly with manufacturers to get all the stock you want, selling what you can at retail, and maybe holding a few back for later sale.  In my experience with Ebay I've seen plenty of "exclusive" figures like chase Marvel Legends, "rare" GI Joes, etc. all at similar prices, and not much higher than retail (sometimes less).  Unless you have something truly unique like a proto, or one of the excellent custom "masterpiece" G1 toys made from Alternators, there's really no point in hanging on to stuff just for its resale value.  I say open that sucker up, transform him, and set his cassette minions free to wreak havoc upon this unsuspecting world!

I agree with Blackbird-13. Toys are way more fun when you play with them. :)

im the same way open it up....play with it lots have fun....who cares

what you want to do????

i buy 2. one for play and one for misb.

sometimes i buy 2 and never even open the too

i love to play with my toys but i also love ot have them misb because they mean alot to me. so its all with your heart. fellow it. lol

i say open it because once im tempted forget it, im going to open it and at times o do regret opeing them too because after i open it, it goes back to the box within that hour and may stay there for ever lol

Got a few E-hobby figures (Megaplex, Clampdown, Deepcover & Road Hauler) and they've all been released from the package and put on display. However, I have not applied the stickers (want to make a scan of them first and my scanner is broken) and unlike regular TF's, the boxes are still complete and intact.

What's the fun of having them and leaving them locked up. Play with them and display them. Sure, they'll loose some of their value, but you've also lost the value of picking them up and really looking at them. IMO, that's more than covers whatever loss in value there is.

I just opened my e-hobby soundblaster the other  day. Hey youpaid for it, it is a toy, and they do look awesome on display.  "OPEN DAMN IT", LIGHT OUR DARKEST HOUR".

Soundblaster isn't e-Hobby...

Road Rage (Red Tracks), "Anime" Silverstreak, Clamp Down, Deep Cover, Detritus (Desert Hound) & "GoBot" MiniBots all opened = No regrets!

Soundblaster isn't e-Hobby...
