they opted on not doing a sequal game to the very kickin Armada one so they can work on a game for the movie.

Actually the Armada game didn't do that well. Probably from to much whining about it not being G1. Atari sold the rights back to Hasbro to so they could recoupe their loses. Transformers video games have been pretty miserable overall. I understand that even the japanese G1 game is pretty bad. The Armada game was awesome though. It was obvious a lot of time and love went into that game.

ok so i just watched the final two episodes of cybertron and here is my complaint.where are our videogames? we have prelude to energon 3 characters limited play. theyre are numerous different games for different licences. spongebob, yugioh, any kids movie, barbie.btrittany spears, where are the tf games? i know activision will have games out next year. how about this year ? ok hasbro look you are losing millions of dollars. tell youre marketing dept to look at the market . video games have became a huge part of everything. the movie will not have mass shifting so a video game for tf that dont transform right. ok so i will probabaly buy it but what about the other tf properties? energon,cybertron,rid,beastwars,g1, the rerelease of the original movie in oct. if brittany spears can have a video game WHY CANT WE? every day you lose money by not having youre product available. starwars has about 10 videogame titles that sell. youre starwars line is doing poorly next to the tf. give me some transformer videogames!  AGGHHHHHH!

Tell the real Hasbro. Hasbro Customer service you'll get a whack ass answer back from them but nothing beats a try. enough folks keep bugging them and we'll get results. I'm not saying I'm the cause but alot of things I've complained about to them got fixed later on.

The REAL Hasbro? You mean those chaps that said that the bootleg Cyclonus toys showing up in China were official Hasbro products?

I hope it doesn't end up like the Fantasic four game...

Holy Crap!! I bought the FF game in the $10 bin as Walmart for the kids. Man!! Jessica Alba cant voice act worth Blot!! I like her in the movie but on the game I coulda did a better job. Then the graphics. I couldn't tell if it was a Gamecube game or a Hi res PSone game.

She probably didn't "voice act" in it.  I haven't seen it, but I'm told it's fairly common for game designers to do splice-and-mix jobs on existing audio to put lines together, unless of course they can actually get the actors to show up just for a voice session.

Normally they get someone who sounds alike that is cheap. The splicing is only done when there is little to no voices in the game.

Don't jinx it!  It's likely to be so bad that not even a child would want to play it.  TF games are like Trek games, they have the potential to be great, but they're always poor games that aren't worth the time because only the name is considered, never the gameplay.

If so, then thye may as well call it 'Humans killing one another again' instead of 'Transformers: The Movie - With no actual Transformers!'

I guess if you have very low expectations, you won't be disappointed...

but I try to be a *bit* more optimistic.

the armada game was awesome - and u get to fight uni at the end and it is actually kewl  -the boss fights were kewl - but they could have used less drones and more real characters - for the first like ten to twenty minutes I just transformed jumping off of stuff and in diff ways.  It would be so kewl to have a game like gen 1 where there are tons of bots [i never played the jap ps2 one] - think of having online play too - and also like using bots that combine - there are so many good possibilities that are unused.

I've seen and played enough games made off the name of a movie to know that expecting great things from it will just lead to disappointment.  All the Lords of the Rings games were terrible, not that the omvies were any better in my opinion, the Harry Potter games are terrible while the movies are barely watchable, the Star Trek games set off the movies are always terrible while the movies range from excellent to 'shoot me now, please'.  Almost every single game made off the movie has turned out to be terrible, there are very few exeptions.

So I've not got my hopes up, if a TF game made from this upcoming movie turns out to be good, then that would be nice.  But it would also depend on if the movie itself is any good as well.  If both the game and the movie are terrible, then that's not going to help the TF francise in terms of attracting the kids, while if the movie is good and the game is bad, then it will just be the game's developers who get it in the neck.  If the movie is bad and the game is good, then it will show that the developers have the common sense to try and do what the movie couldn't do.  It all depends on the common sense and skills of the developers of the game and the creators of the movie.  Guess that will be found out next year or whenever the movie and game are released.

In the game, she uses lines that aren't in the movie. *Check case again just in case* "Featuring the voices of: Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans and Julian McMahon"

And what's the bets that the game of the movie will be terrible beyond belief?  Most games based on movies are usually terrible.

I direct your attention to Kong. And I heard its going to be based around the Armada engine, so there's hope yet
