Hi, today i was looking at some random f pics, ans I have noticed that on pictures of energon optimus, he has a molded mouth into his face plate for the western version.

 

Ones I have he has the normal mouth plate. Was the usa optimus different from the uk version or somthing?

 

 

(I have 3 energon optimuses and they all the same normal muth plate)

The first energon optimus primes had a mouth.they changed it later to match the show.

Ah I see. Thanks for the info! wonder if anyone considers those mouth ones collectors. Might be intresting just to have one :P

I think you mean completist, as opposed to "hardcore." I consider myself a "harcore" collector (I have nearly 900 TFs, not counting variants), but I'm certainly not a completist. I recently sold off my Energon OP and Megatron as I already have Grand Convoy and SL Galvatron.

I wasn't too fond of the mouth version when it first came out, but after the series ended, I started considering it a gem. It's just so different. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being the more rare of the two.

starting out it was the most common.you had to LOOK for the code to see if it had a mouth or not.eventualy the anti-mouth ones overran the mouth ones.

Yeah, so that makes him an Optimus Prime completist. :) I think the only line that I've ever been a completist on has been e-Hobby... I consider myself a G1 show/comic completist as in I intend to collect every toy that has appeared in the G1 cartoons and Marvel comics.
