You can't really tell from these low quality pictures, but the design of their heads looks a lot like that of their actionmaster counterparts.

 

From what I can make out with these pictures thus far, I'm liking these new figures.

I'm hoping for a lot of silver on megatron.  Lots of red on prime with blue.

 

And some yellow on bumblebee!!

I know this is speculation at best but from what little the pics do show Prime and Megs look to be displaying a lot of shiny chrome. Also Primes wheels don't look at all like the traditional plastic molding we've all become accustomed to in the past three lines. They look chrome and rubber from where I'm sitting. If so this would truly by a G1 esque line. :thumb  So far I'm not really minding the kibble on Prime but after looking at em closer that gun looks horrible. It's verry obviously the top of the truck removed and opened up to look like a gun. I'm all for weapons that work in both modes as with G2/Alts but this IMHO is simply not working. As for bot mode. I am getting a serious Energon Prime vibe from him expecially in the chest area. At least this time around his legs and arms are in proportion with the rest of his body.

 

As for Megatron. It's actually pretty funny hearing the fandom debate his alt mode for the upteenth millionth time. Really sets apart who the G1 purist really are considering they want Megatron to actually look like this. Personally I'm really not that torn about it either way. If he looks decent and does a proper job of representing Megatron I'll probably get it where as if he doesn't he's an easy pass. :thumb

 

BTW Armada Redux Megatron would've rocked. :thumb   

You know, for all the Starscreaming in this thread you have to wonder why some people don't just by the reissues, and lock themselves in a room with the G1 dvd's.......

 

The reissues I'm alright with, but the old G1 cartoon makes me prefer the idea of being run over by a convoy.  Didn't like it much when I was a kid, hate it as an adult.  It was bad then and it's bad now.  So many continuality errors and general errors with colours and sizes.  It might have been for kids, but really, they could have done better.  No that they do better even these days.

I'm hoping they'll be making some good combiners teams for this up-coming line, like some decent Arielbots, Constructicons and Stunticons teams.

Suppose this Megs pulls a Shockwave on us. Seeings how the toy can't mass shift, he has no choice in the matter. He will tower over Primes truck mode.  The other toys cant move independently either. The kid holding the big gun against the other kid rolling the Bot cars on the floor may have an advantage.
