Ain't It Cool interview with Michael Bay

Recommended Posts

you know I think its had it that point were i need to stop reading any and all posts or articals about the movie.  I'ev saod this sevral times and i will say it again. I want to see this movie with as little knowlege about the charecters\story as possable.  i dont know to know the whole thing before i get to see it

:pfx (aside from the spelling mistakes, which I will attribute to sheer excitement over reading about how kickass the movie is going to be).

No more reading about it. I want to experience the movie w/o having read any more spoilers. In fact, I quit reading the Bay article just as soon as I saw OPs description.

Like I said, I want to enjoy this movie fully and not be comparing it to how I saw it in my head when I was reading all the details online. From what I did read though, I am going to love this movie.

THIS SHOULD BE BIG F*CKING NEWS BTW JMO

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
confirmation of an F-22 jet fighter

Prime "still a Mack truck" which I assume means that he has his original alt mode

Prime also apparently blue/gray?

no blocky G1 MAN IN SUIT bots

robot modes are more mechanical/detailed looking

potential teaser poster / tagline

Scorponok?!?

:clap  :thumb With what you just said  :tflaugh

Me can't wait!  :P  :nuts

Sounds like for the way the robots' eys look they're going for a Beast Machines Maximal effect, which will be cool.

:tflaugh because I don't know if that was intended as flamebait or not

but if so it was awesome

Hey, why not? That is a really good point. We have had 20+ yrs of progress and improvements in this franchise. Why not use some of the awesome advances that we have seen.

Now having said that, I still want them to stick to the main look and feel of G1, but I think that they can do both. Don't just change for the sake of change, but do change to improve the franchise.

Michael Bay knows how to give you, us, the fans, everything we've wanted out of a TF movie.

We've all (or many) have previously said we wanted to see "character development," and "story structure," and other film elements craved by adults graced upon our TF movie.

The reality is, I wanna see TF's smash each other, and people, and buildings, etc... and be visually awe inspiring and exciting while they do it.

Bay knows it, and that's what he's delivering.

I can't imagine any realistic reason to Starscream about the movie anymore, unless the studio starts stepping on his (and Stephen's) toes...

... and considering Spielberg is the studio...

The description of those pre-viz's gave me a huge fanboner.

I can't believe humans are going to get PWNED KILL'D in the movie....

...assuming what was "reported" is true
