Maybe because you're always saying how anime is the best form of animation of all time, when historically speaking that's just laughable. And responding to someone's personal preferences with "this is why you're wrong" will get you a big fat :stfu every time.

part of my point is that you come across as abrasive, an apologist, and a fanboy. that is why he said that to you. it's how you seem.

 

The other part is that if you want to be replied to with a counterpoint ratehr than "STFU anime fanboy," don't act like one. act kind of like how I did, which was to not only respect his intelligence, but to offer examples of good anime that does emotions well without sounding condesending.

that got me to tihnking. IMO, there is no best form of animation, as the quality of each work of animation varies a lot. certain things hold true in each form of anything(95% of all anime has the round face with the sharp chin and virtually no facial features, for example), but that's about it.

Fruits Basket and Full Moon wo SagaBlote are pretty emotional to me. Some more recent ones worth mentioning are Shakugan no Shana(from what I've seen of it... about 10 eps), Mai Otome, and Mushishi.
