the thing about a jet though is unless it's a VTOL it's not all that effective at getting off the ground quickly.

that's energon/IDW starscream's alt mode right?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No.

VTOL = Vertical Take-Off and Landing. Planes like the Harrier or the Joint Strike Fighter. It doesn't take of, but ascends upwards, balancing on the vertical thrust of air that is being expelled from under it's carriage, and then redirects that thrust slowly horizontally.

ah, i see. but as i said E/IDW starscream has such an alt mode.

I don't know about the comics, but Energon Starscream is based on a F-22 Raptor, which isn't a VTOL plane.

really? looked a lot like it.

don't know about the IDW one either.

I would either be optimus primal or dinobot from the origianl beastwars.

He's an F-22 in the comics.

However, the F-35 Joint Strike fighter (the Marine version is VTOL) looks somewhat similar to the F-22 if you're not much of a plane nut.

A. Jetfire.. mostly for the sake of space exploration whenever I feel like it. Hasn't been many choices for realistic looking spacecraft when all you got that's remotely simular is Cosmos and Astrotrain..

I would be the greatest transformer of all time.....

I would be G1 Skywarp ( flight, teleportation and the best colours of the seekers ) and boy did this topic go off on a tangent before  :tfgrin

I am going to revise my original statement. I feel that my namesake reflects my personality well.
