would'nt the pipes be more secure if the holes for the pegs were drilled and the pipes superglued? And I sanded my head lights left them blue and dipped them in future floor polish a few times. All in all it looks very good !

I find putting "HOT ROD" on the car to be absolutely hilarious.  It's like tattooing your own name on your arm.

hilarious to U, not to me... at least the doors wont look so boring... if by putting the name on the car itself is hilarious, then what do U say about the alternators/binaltech's license plates? I mean, whats wrong with that? if U can call Alt/BT Deadend Deadend while his mold is actually Sunstreaker, y cant I call the red excellion HOTROD?

I find those just as hilarious.  I would call them on the level of Attention Whores.

Weeee...Look at me and learn my name.

its just like some racers in some WRC eg. Alt/Bt Smokescreen (Petter Solberg & Phill Mills) on his rear doors' windows... Are U trying to imply that they are Attention Whores too? its just that in this case, Hotrod is the driver himself putting on his own name... I seriously find nothing hilarious about it... and by the way, mind your words... thanks for your comments anyway...

I tried drilling with my blue hotshot just dont seems to work so in the end I just cut the pegs off... and using some of other fellow kitbashers' ideas as reference, i trimed off the tab on the orange arm parts to allow the arms more articulations, and also trimed the sides of his "waist skirt"(or whatever U call it) to allow more free articulations... btw, I used back the blue hotshot's clear yellow headlights, and also switched the gold part on his forehead to blue hotshot's clear yellow...

the racers name are used to identify the drivers.  Unless you call the wrc 'daisy' and put DAISY on the window....that's totally two different things.

Hilarious!!!!

very nice. I got the figure yesterday and have slowly begun my mod on him. First thing I did was fix the arms, cutting off the tap that keeps them from outward movement, then shaved the antenna off his head and rounded it out a little. I need to figure out what to do about the thing in the center of his head though. Right now it looks like he has a mohawk. It doesn't look too bad though, so I might leave it. When I get some silver and gold paint, I'm going to work on the mod some more, probably give him exaust pipes like you did, only from my junker Gen1 Hot Rod. If I can find a digital camera, I'll post pictures.

Out

Talking about his head, thanks for the idea!  :thumb  perhaps I will test on the blue hotshot 1st... :)

yup that's exactly my point! in my case, Hotrod IS the driver of himself!!

Just in any case that U might forgotten, throughout the history of transformers, tf cars can drive themselves, tf jets can pilot themselves, tf boats/ship can surf themselves, even a tf pistol can fire off himself...

Looks pretty good. The name is kinda weird, but not much of a big deal since the Transmetals had their names written somewhere on themselves, too.

Did you paint the pipes on the inside of his car doors, too?

Aoi

do you need a name tag to identify yourself to your family?

Pretty sure 'HOT ROD' hangs around with other TF's... :roll

Unless you have multiple 'beings' controlling you from the inside next to you gut, and they are dressed Helmets and stuff....and which everyone can tell them apart from the outside with 100% certainty....and let's not forget there are mutiple versions of yourself (ala WRC team with more than one WRC car and consequently more than 1 set of drivers etc)........yeah.....I guess having your name is printed on you is not only good but an absolute requirement.

Then another question arises.........why not put the name on the forehead.....so everyone are sure to see you name when talking to you.....

Boggles the mind......boggles my mind!!!

Let's all wear name tags!!!

NoICE!!!!

OH....Let's not forget there are tons of that car model with that specific paint job running around on cybertron and eventually moving to earth......"HOT ROD" needs to be stamped on him...or her....

bahahahahahha

Whatever... Some people just dont get it... No point trying to explain... perhaps maybe those alt/bt characters should hide their license plates then... since people DONT NEED name tags to identify the alt/bt characters... by the way, if I dont remember wrongly, the original G2 tfs have their names on their bodies too...

and what, soccer players basketball players have their name on their uniforms too... do U mean they dont hang around with their teammates their family their friends? hmmm  :tfhuh
