Hey DD I`m kind of wondering are you planning on repainting the alt mode to look more G1? For instance removing the flames from the frontend and painting the hood orange then giving the hood flames like you`re giving the bot mode chest.

 

I thought of that initially... but I like the flames, in fact I tried to paint flame my 1st blue hotshot just like this excillion even before its officially released... really had a hard time trying to handpaint the flames... so I guess, probably Im keeping the flames... on the other hand, why not making the chest flames look like the front ones instead? bah.. just an idea...  :tftongue

Hey DD you`ve inspired me to make my own G1 Hotrod from Excellion. I`m just wondering what did you use to fill his chest? Right now I`m trying testor`s contour putty. I just applyed it so I should know how it turns out tomorrow morning when I get home from work. So far that and the gold paint and the flames stencil and the coat of orange on the front end is all I`ve done so far. Oh yeah I also cleaned the silver off of the blue head lights. Thanks for the inspiration bud. :thumb

What about using the flame from G1 Tracks? It seems to be roughly the right size, and does look better than the original flame hood.

sorry for the stage by stage posts... I was looking at my minicons and noticed some similiarity between ArmadaLeaderOne and TargetmasterFirebolt... so... removed the wheels and abit of repaint, here U have it...
