thanks for all the comments and votings... Coz u see, i just got my Excellion and decided to give it abit of G1 Hotrod homage with revealing engine at the hood... but i cant just throw in an engine to this alt mode anywhere I like can i? personally im thinking the engine should be at the rear too... just need votings, comments and suggestions to confirm my decision thats all...

Thought it would mess up the key function, you can take that black thing off the back of the care, cut it in half, and put it on thr front. It probobly wouldn't look that great though :tdown

oh, no thats not wad I was going to do... My initial idea was to leave the black pack as it is, and get an engine which look similiar to G1 Hotrod's, cut into half and put on the front...

but the thing is... would an extra engine on the front spoil the whole ferrari look? thats what my concern is...

The Chrysler ME Four-Twelve that the Exillion/HotShot/Excellion mold is based off of has the engine in the back.

thats a mid engine car o_O

in the rear like the ford GT.  Hotshot /excellion whatever, always did look like he had JUNK in his trunk.

i thought the gt was a mid engine as well? i hope they get this right with alt mirage....

off topic

are there any lists of what vehicles the cybertron figs are based off of, some are obvious while others have me guessing (i had no idea what inspired the exillion mold).

mid engines do promote higher speeds

Mid-engine layouts don't really have anything to do with higher speeds, per se - more with balance (which will allow higher speeds through turns). Front-engine Ferraris and rear-engine Porsches can out run many mid-engine cars, it all depends on the horsepower and the design.

Yep, if the motor is behind the front axle and in front of the rear axle - it's mid engined. The only rear engine cars I can think of are Porsches.

i think there are a few, just not a whole hell of alot... i'll check gran turismo 3 when i get home and see what's on it (i learned alot of stuff from that game)

The original Volkswagen bug would be an example of a rear engine car.

The mini was one of the first cars to feature forward wheel drive.

totally irrelevant i just thought it was an interesting fact.

the cybertron mold must be mid engined

hes MR
