Please forgive me for being late, but did you guys know that starscream died. The voice of starscream and cobracommander Christopher Latta. He died of a cerebral hemorage back in 94. :(

heres the link for those of us who didn't know. His voice is imortalized in my head I used to watch Gi joe and transformers every morning before I went to school.

cerebral hemorrage was a cover up is what i heard.....i was under teh impression that Latta died of a drug overdose......any truth to this??

also....does anyone have his old comedy standup on video file ANYWHERE?

you hear a voice involved in something that you like, everyday for a few years and when they are gone it's like you lost a family member. I know to some of you it might sound silly, but to true fans and people who grew up on transformers and GIjoe you know exactly what I mean.

Well, theres another guy we won't get in the new movie

Yes, this is very old news. It's also the reason why Chris Latta did not voice Starscream in Beast Wars, and hence it was voiced by Terrorsaur's voice actor, Doug Parker, who was apparently once Latta's apprentice... so that was kind of a nice tribute - voice actor playing his former mentor's character.

Still, even if Latta had lived, I'm not sure if he would have been able to voice Starscream on Beast Wars. There was talk of getting Peter Cullen to do a cameo voice appearance for Optimus Prime, but it never happened because apparently there are some differences between Canadian and American voice actor unions... so a lot of Canadian voice actors won't work with Americans.

I can neither proove nor disproove it, but i too had  heard his death was thought to be related to substance abuse problems.
