His review says that the small Autobot sigil used to be molded.  It never was.  I have both Cybertron Hot Shot and GF Excillion, and can tell you that they've always been tampoed.  It's too tiny to mold in proper detail, I'd imagine.

The only mold change has been made already, in the transition from Excillion to Hot Shot, with the addition of the extra screws in his back plate.

My son has Cyb Hot Shot and the :ab symbol is molded

Cool. I have to check mine later. usually I notice little junk like this. show you how important it is.

I'm still gonna get it, my only gripe tho is I'll have to get a regular C. Hot Shot to transplant the yellow wings....

Well you could always just paint them yellow for that G1 Hotrod look. In fact I`m thinking of getting this one for myself and completing it the rest of the way to how he should have looked with a full G1 Hotrod paint job.

kitbash quality <<<<<<<<<< factory quality JMO

Madhammer you`ve seen the paintjob on my BT Rodimus. So you know that when I make this into a more G1 Hotrod he`ll look really good. One of the first things I`m going to do is chop off those stupid freaking bat ears! Also maybe smooth out his chest so it looks more like the hood chest on G1 Hotrod.

looking good and being able to withstand hours of play time shouldn't be mutually exclusive, with Kitbashes (more often than not) they are.

yeah, plus clear yellow>solid paint in this case :tfgrin

I picked up one of those two-for-one-packs with Hot Shot, with the plan to swap the wings and head-lights.  I'm also going to paint the pipes inside the doors silver.

I'll thinking about repainting Hot Shot's head red and put it on there too - as I like the clear yellow visor better.
