Battle Damaged Red Alert, Hot Shot and Scattorshot

Recommended Posts

Okay.  I had a junker Cyb Red alert, and I decided to make him look battle damaged before he got upgraded to CD Red alert, and I'm done with his visor and right shoulder.

I also want to get an extra Hot Shot and Scattorshot to do the same to them as well.

My only issue is, I need as many pics of how they looked battle damaged as possible.  Heads, bodys, limbs, stuff like that.

If you guys can help, that'll be great.

My camera's busted at the moment (damn little brother took it with him for one day and broke it :tfmad )

Neat Idea! I hope goes well!! So you are going to do the battle damage like in the episodes e.g missing parts, smashed visor etc.

Yeah.  I just need reference pics and for Red alert soon because I've got him started.

For the visors/eyes, I plan to take the tip of an x-acto and kind of make a groove into the plastic, then painting the eye/visor black, then wiping the black off.  The black that get's stuck in the gooves will accentuate the damaged optics.  As for Red alert, I already took off his right shoulder vehicle door.

But like I said.  I need some reference pics to know where they're especially banged up so I can get it as close as possible, and then as for the burns, well, the more I know the better.

My only issue is how to apply the burn areas.  I'm contemplating just kind of painting small spots in black, and then kind of adding some black spots by flicking the paint brush.  My other option is to go out and get some spray paint and a really small nozzle for the sprayer to apply it in a more electrical burn type fashion.

Either way, I need reference pics folks.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OMG.

Thank you so much man.  Those'll help a lot.  My only question, was there a possibility to get a pic to see if Red alert's laser/welder hand was damaged in any way i.e. an overhead pic, since I see overhead/birds eye view pics of Hot Shot and Scattorshot pretty decently.?

But these will so help my project.  Next step, getting a spare Hot Shot and Scattorshot, possibly from BBTS.

Look closely...his whole laser arm is torn off.

Oh.  Wow.  Thnx for pointing it out.  I'll make sure to remove it.

*goes and gives lower left arm a gentle tug, and *BOOM* comes off without hassle, now it's broken nicely*

Well, now it looks like he officially had it ripped off of him.

Again onesock, thank you so much for the reference pics.  This will so help me.  Especially once I get ahold of a spare Hot Shot and Scattorshot.

EDIT:

Just realized I have a junker Hot Shot that I'm just switching the wings out for when I get Excellion.  I can use him.

I have an extra Scattershot and Red alert.  I have some others too, but I have not listed them yet.  I have my complete list so toys for sale here:  http://forums.transfandom.com/invboard/ind...showtopic=22903

Let me know what all you like.  Thanks!

No problem! I'm glad I can help. :thumb

Update.  I'm done for the most part with cutting some chunks out of the Hot Shot and Red alert and making it so it looks like they're roughed up quite a bit.  Last thing to do to them is apply some black spots here and there, darken some areas, and then maybe add a few cuts here and there, and then working on Scattorshot.  Then I'm done.

Boy, using the x-acto knife is kinda dangerous.  I've already given myself three cuts, two of them working on Red alert.
