MP-03?

Recommended Posts

If this is indeed a kitbash it is exceptionally well done, even better than the high-end stuff we usually see done by Japanese model builders. Aside from the obvious RM parts I can't figure out where any of these parts come from except for the pointing hand that looks like it would have come from one of the various Convoy PVCs. Diecast is very difficult to mold and form freestyle like this would have been, most of the body on this Starscream appears to be either diecast or very well faked plastic, but that texture is hard to duplicate.

The scale is the most unusual part. At its core RM Convoy is a scaled down and simplified version of MP Convoy so it would make sense to scale up and improve the detail on RM Starscream to make MP Starscream, but we're only getting half of that here. The details are much increased, but the scale isn't. If this is indeed real why would Takara keep the scale at RM size (roughly 5" unlike THS which is about 4") rather than MP scale (about 12"), Binaltech/Alternator scale (about 8") or main line deluxe scale (about 6") or even make it in scale to MP Convoy which would be closer to 10-11"?

As for why a Japanese person would see this first, isn't the email listed on them Chinese? Isn't www.yahoo.com.cn the striped down Chinese version of Yahoo? China is the home of factory sneaks after all.

I'm anxiously looking forward to the official answer on this. If it is the real MP-03 then it's rather disappointing, if it's a custom then it's absolutely amazing, if it's something else all together then I can't wait to find out what! I guess we'll know in later April like it says on the card, we'll all be watching Fan2Fan's mag scans.

If we were to see factory stuff it would be a proto, with all the random colors and stuff.

I still have my hopes up for a real MP Starscream. It's coming people!!!

I'm pretty sure it's just been air-brushed with a metallic finish paint.  If you look closely you can see where the builder oversprayed the red onto the screws holding his chest together.

*was hoping for MP-03 Twin Twist*

Awesome. I figured that an MP G1 Megatron would not be a reality, and Starscream is a great replacement. At least it would be easy to guess what MP-04 and MP-05 would be. :P

So, maybe Megatron's getting the cold shoulder again?

10 minutes in Paint, eh?

An interesting mystery indeed. :schin

I'm betting on this being paart of the classic line but only time will tell.

As far as an MP Screamer. Makes snse. Hasbro has been rumouring jet alts for quite a whille no and as said it would make a lot more sense to build them MP scale opposed to alt scale. I for some reason though don't want to see him bigger or even as tall as MP Prime. A head shorter would be good. :thumb

Until this is a official I'm personally thinking about shelling out for a Supreme C Screamer. :thumb
