In the Animated contuity they were Built to be Militery Hardware by the Quints, when 1/2 the population are pre-determened pacifists and the other half are pre-determened Solders things are going to be a bit shakey during Piece time

what about the comic continuity?

its the same basicaly,autobots were built to be workers using the spark of primus for life whilst the decepticons were built for military and defensive purposes who got bored of peace and overthrew their quin imprisoners. the autobots were useless and beeing overun by decepticons when orion pax who was damaged was rebuilt as optimus prime by alpha trion to combat megatron and restore order. hats the basics of it

You just described the Animated Contuity again.

In marvel Comic Contuity Megatron started the Decepticons from scratch in order to turn Cybertron into a war world.

In DW Comic Contuity Megatron started the Decepticons becuse he found out the Transformers true purpose and then he got amnesia

Well I was thinking something like this. You know how Megs has the Seekers? Well they are jets. Jets are huge compared to anything else. If that isn't power I don't know what is. I think its what made the Decepticons them, like a force to be reckond with.

In the comics, there are 2 viewpoints presented.

 

According to what the Keeper said, and it's something that is believed by most Transformers, Primus created the Transformers as a single united species - as the galaxy's last line of defence against Unicron. Throughout the ages, this singular purpose became forgotten and the Transformers became divided as a race, and warred amongst themselves -- the collective sins of the early generations of Transformers stripped the Transformers of their ability to self-procreate with their combined evil physically manifesting itself as the Swarm. With the failure of the Matrix Quest, Optimus Prime (and soon after Scorponok) realised that the Transformers were meant to be a single and united people and worked to forge an alliance. This alliance stood strong when Cybertron was besieged by Unicron - Autobots and Decepticons fighting and dying alongside each other as comrades... as brothers. Unfortunately, the Alliance soon crumbled after the battle with Unicron.

 

This leads to the second viewpoint - one held by TFs such as Grimlock and the Dinobots, Bludgeon, Krok and most Decepticons. This argument states that although Primus had intended upon creating a single united race, he had inadvertantly/unintentionally created two - two separate species who would were destined to be at war with each other.

 

I much prefer the former. 

I thought the Keepers were in the novels and not the comics. :tfhuh
