Actually I had gotten a third one for Chrismas from my Girlfriend, so instead of giving it to someone who could use it , I decided to test the whole "Drop Test" thing from a ridiculus height.

Now for another problem, why doesn't my girlfriend know what TFs I have?  I guess that's it for her.

And?... what were your findings WRX-78?

Did it pass "the test" ?

I think your Girl gets a lot credit giving you a Max. That's now small order, even if you have one.

Fort Max is possible after Hasbro release both the Joe MCC and Unicron. They probably don't want to now though, since it's tied in to RID and G1.

Meggie will probably never happen. Even if they wanted to make it, I don't think TRU would carry it, and TRU has the exclusive rights to all TF reissues.

Well, well well Scotty. Keep on talking my friend because Im that type of guy that if you tell me I cant do something I will do everything to show you that I can do it. As for Megatron being a gun.....go and look around at the toystores in your area and tell me if the shelves arent covered in some kind of toy gun. We are not making this a gun control issue, leave that to the politicians!!!! As for Fortress Maximus yeah there are alot of us that want to save some bucks. You show me anywhere on the net that has a Fortress/Brave Maximus that is under 100 dollars and "I will kiss your bare ass", and uhh tell me what "Federal Law" does Fortress Maximus violate. BTW do you own Fortress Maximus? and how much did you pay for him? Im willing to bet you paid at least 300 dollars for him, giving you do have one.

screw the federal law.laws can be changed if enough people Starscream about it somthing can be done. somthing will be done.

Unlikely. Very very unlikely. You want to insure the companies for the inevitable lawsuits?

As it's been pointed out often: Hasbro is a business. They exist to make money. If it was feasible, sound business to release him, they would. It isnt. Just import him or buy him off ebay if you want him that much.

And?... what were your findings WRX-78?

You quoted someone else dude. :)

Moving on...

I don't own Fort Max. I would like one, but he's too expensive for my tastes (read: I don't really want him). I really do appreciate the enthusiasm for G1 but people have to temper their emotional attachment with reason.

G1 re-issues are still clogging shelves in parts of the country. These things don't move fast folks. Trust me, as soon as Hasbro sees that they're not making enough of a profit off of the re-issues, they will stop.

A high ticket item like Fort Max would stay on the shelves. Granted, the ones who want him will handily snap him up. But let's say they had to make a change to him for whatever reason. There would be a few fans who would go for the Japanese release no matter the price (think 20th Op smokestacks).

Considering Hasbro's full weight is behind their mainline Energon and we have not 1, but 2 Unicrons, plus Omega Supreme on the way. Add to the fact that after the initial fan frenzy they will warm shelves for a bit. I can understand why he's not on these shores. Legal reasons or not.

Megatron is an entirely different story. The Japan release can be had for under a 100 bucks. You can wait for hell to freeze over OR save up a $100. Which is what I did.

WOO! I really want both of these...COME ON NOW! YEAH! :clap

It will never happen for Fort Max and if they did reissue him how much would he cost. $200 is my guess for greedy Hasbro to make any profit. Just buy Brave max, cheaper and cooler paint. :roll

If Takara says it's ok to issue a toy that's supposed to break into a thousand leathal piecers of plastick into japan... Why does hasbro take the children of the western world for expensive toys-tossing madmen?

Bring back maximus and screw everyone tht charges a Blotload of money for him. It's your right as a devoted transformernerd to own F. Max.

Why does hasbro take the children of the western world for expensive toys-tossing madmen?

They don't. The western world simply likes to sue people too much. :redface

I stand by my previous comments, Fortress Maximus failed the drop test b/c he did break off pieces and some of them were sharp shards.

This topic was discussed at Botcon 2002. Andrew Frankel, aka "Swiper", working for Hasbro and has been "for a while now" commented, "Maximus is having trouble passing 'drop testing' standards, where the toy is required to survive falls without breaking in ways that could be dangerous. Andrew mentioned the risk of "impalement" on toy shards...."

Here is the article http://www.tfandom.com/article.php?sid=497

As much as I would love to have Fortress Maximus released from the same original mold or as a Masterpiece, I do not see it happening.
