And they did appear. In BW Neo, Razorbeast featured, renamed Randy. B'Boom and Bonecrusher appeared in BW2( :tflaugh ) under the names Apache and Big Horn respectively, as did Spittor(maximal called Diver), Transquito and Manterror(maximal Insectrons, can't remember their names in it though).

 

Also about the alt modes, yes Lio Convoy has a mechanical lion form in it(he didn't have this in BWII) but Razorbeast looks like he turns into a bike

I'm beginning to hate Beast Wars. Thanks alot cross continuity! You just sucke dthe fun out of the Transformers

For one we get to see that on Cybertron the Tf have alt modes that look just like their beast modes on Earth.  This finally puts to rest the problem I've had in the first episode where Cheetor, Rattrap, etc all have names that relate to their beast modes.  They weren't coming up with new names, they were just happy they found alt modes like their ones on Cybertron.

 

Also, the new Primal and Megs figure for 10th anniversery are definatly their Cybertronian alt forms and not their Earth beast modes, which makes me like the figures a whole lot more.

 

Good deal.  Only one issue in and this comic rocks.

They do throw in a major continuity error though. All the protoforms were damaged or destroyed early in S2. If Transmutate is any idication, the protoforms would either be warped or dead.

im sorry but i totally disagree...

im sure TONS were destroyed and LOTS were changed into Transmetals and Fuzors, but there is no way that ALL the pods were "altered" in the same fashion..i mean once season 2 and 3 hit the only "Podformers" we got were 2 fuzors, Transmutate and Rampage.  I just have a hard time believing that on a planetary level all the pods had been damaged

The reason Rampage and Transmutate were transmetal was because they had been hit by the quantam surge. The fuzors were created the same  way, as seen by the fact that fuzors have some transmetal attributes. In the comic, theres a few fuzors but they make sense. ITs th wolf, the bear, the mandrill and the rest that don't make sense. If their pods had survived the crash, they should have been transmetals at least, or more probable in my opnion, they shuld have been the warped wrecks like the transmutatethem. The comic, and theres nothing wrong with this, simply used an easy plot device that falls out of continuity.

The Razorback toy was repainted and renamed as Randy, but there is nothing to suggest that they were the same character. There personas are also quite different. Randy's tech specs describes him as being "highly patient and honest, yet with his rather serious personality," whereas Razorbeast's tech specs bio describes him as "Stubborn, aggressive and always eager to fight." Randy is also a mercenary for hire, who just happens to be affiliated with the Maximals (much like how Sixshot was an unaligned mercenary who happened to be working for the Destrons), whereas Razorback is described as being fiercely loyal to the Maximal cause (" he would never dare to disobey a direct order from Optimus Primal"). Their stats are also different.

Again, not true. While their toys may be based on the same mould, and in some cases, no physical differences exist, they were not the same characters.

 

B'Boom's function is Guerilla Warfare Specialist. Apache's function is Lieutenant Commander. B'Boom's bio describes him as a berserker. Apache is shown to be a cool and composed authority figure.

Big Horn's missile launcher requires an ally to pull on his tail. Also, he is attracted by red flowers - neither of these are mentioned in Bonecrusher's tech specs.

Manterror vs Mantis, Spittor vs Diver and Transquito vs Big Mos... holy crap man, not only are they completely different characters, they are on different sides of the Beast Wars! Spittor and Transquito are Predacons, whereas Diver and Big Mos are Maximals, with Big Mos belonging to the Insecticon (Insectron) Maximal sub-group. Absolutely no chance of these guys ever being one and the same!

 

Just because these toys may represent characters in the same continuity with the same mould, doesn't mean that they are the same characters as each other - particularly when they have different paint schemes and/or faction symbols. After all, Blackarachnia is a repaint of Tarantulas, but we all know they aren't the same character - ditto Cheetor and Tigatron.

He never transformed in BWII before he got his Gaea-based mode. Granted the robot mode kibble looks different...

 

As for the stasis pods, I agree with Protoform X. It's entirely possible that those stasis pods could have crashed in parts of Earth where the Quantum Surge radiation wasn't as strong. The Quantum Surge seemed to be random at best - Air Razor and Tigatron were in the same room as Cheetor and Rattrap when the surge hit the Axalon, yet those two were spared from becoming Transmetals. It's entirely possible that these pods were also similarly spared.

 

It's never been established that every stasis pod was effected by the Surge, since Tigatron and Airazor's mission to find the remaining pods was never completed. So this plot device in the comics does not contradict continuity. Heck, the presumption of Diver being the same character as Spittor is a direct contradiction of continuity. ;)

Nah, it was kinda random. Tigatron and Airazor weren't in CR chambers - they were also on the bridge with Cheetor and Rattrap when they were all affected by the Surge, yet only Rattrap and Cheetor became Transmetals.
