Well the new Beast Wars Comic

Recommended Posts

No its taking place on earth at the same time as BW, apparently all the new transformers have put them selves out of faze or spmething. Also a very large number starred in either BW2 or BW Neo-Magamatron, Lio and Big Convoy, Razorbeast, B'Boom,Bonecrusher etc

Then I'm F-ing lost.  I thought this comic series was suppose to bridge the gap between the end of G1/G2 TFs and beginning of BW.

Its another story taking place as original BW.  Basically its two BW going on the same time.  The first group is not aware of this new group.  Magamatron is suppose to be a bigger threat than Megatron.  But then again Megatron takes over Cybertron in Beast Machines.

Ok, I think I'm getting it.  Megs in on Earth.  Magmatron is on Cybertron.  If so, is the Earth-looking planet acctually a part of the organic Cybertron, or am I just toally lost?

Okay, after Ravage is sent to earth and fails, Magamatron and some of his goons are sent to get the job done by the Tripedecus Council.  But the Council does not know that Magmatron has his own agenda to take over. He and his goons are planning to use the protoforms forms from the original BW to beef up his army.  Razorbeast is a mazimal spy in Magmatrons ranks and he in turn make some of the Protos Maximals.   They are all on Earth, it is just the new guys are cloaked from original BW by a time displacement thing.

In the comic it is filled with flashbacks of before Magmatron came to earth.

Soo not what I was expecting it to be.  Thanks for the clarification, CX-1

Also the bit about Magmatron(btw, great villan in BWNeo) being more dangerous then Megatron is actually probably a clever little insight into how much info on the Beast Wars the cybertronians have. Lio Convoy and Magmatron both seem to consider Megs to be nothing but a loose cannon. And that makes perfect sense. There's no way they could know how dangerous Megatron has become. Not only is his TM2 form arguably the most powerful predacon form in existence, but they have no way to know ho many times he's come close to tearing history to shreds. It makes perfect sense that the cybertronians would think Megatron is just a loose end, there's no way on earth they could know the truth about him. I think this is one of the cleverest bits in the comic.

They do throw in a major continuity error though. All the protoforms were damaged or destroyed early in S2. If Transmutate is any idication, the protoforms would either be warped or dead.

I agrea, the Protoforms should at least be Fuzors or Transmetals

and am i missing something? why is everyone taking this new bw comic into cartoon continuity? thats like taking g1 comics and toon together. perhaps this will be based around the bw show quite well... but still. its not a show. imo comics are their own contiuity. same way dw comics werent part of g1.

has someone said this is officially canon? if so ill just stfu.

Some one else probably said this but the first few pages says this when they recap all the events of the beast wars up the the point where...........Hey I just thought of something. I thought the Predacons were shadowing Agent Ravage. How'd they end up seeing Depthcharge if Ravage was still on his mission. This throws my continuity defense out the window.

How will this book go on after the toon show bots leave back for Cybertron I wonder? Maybe they help get Waspinator back home just in time to suffer the Transformation virus. That's a Good Idea. Waspinator was still on the planet after the show so he's free range at this point.

BWII (or BW 2nd, not BW2). Also, Razorbeast, B'Boom and Bonecrusher did not appear in BWII or BW Neo.

Also about the alt modes, Razorbeast was a bike and Magmatron didn't have a beast mode on cybertron. As for Lio and Big, they acquired their forms on Cybertron(although in the anime Lio convoy got the lion mode on another planet)

Yes, but Lio Convoy's post-Gaea beast mode is an organic lion, whereas Lio Convoy's Cybertron mode shown in the comic is purely mechanical - and he has caterpillar treads too, which indicates he has some kind of tank-like vehicle mode. The lion parts are also mechanical, looking "Zoids-esque."

Well, all the Protoforms found by the BW TFs in the show were destroyed or heavily damaged. There's a possibility that a few protoforms may have survived the crash. I believe Tigatron and Airazor's mission was to scour the globe for any more surviving Protoforms, but of course they were abducted by the Vok before they could ever complete that mission.

Magmatron left Cybertron shortly after Ravage - and Depth Charge arrived on Earth not too long after Ravage was destroyed. It seems that Magmatron did indeed leave Cybertron to follow Ravage, but by time he arrived, Ravage would be long gone and Depth Charge has certainly arrived.

It's not a continuity clash. The only time Ravage is seen in the comics is in a flashback.

BWII (or BW 2nd, not BW2). Also, Razorbeast, B'Boom and Bonecrusher did not appear in BWII or BW Neo.

Don't get bogged down in semantics

And they did appear. In BW Neo, Razorbeast featured, renamed Randy. B'Boom and Bonecrusher appeared in BW2( :tflaugh ) under the names Apache and Big Horn respectively, as did Spittor(maximal called Diver), Transquito and Manterror(maximal Insectrons, can't remember their names in it though).

Also about the alt modes, yes Lio Convoy has a mechanical lion form in it(he didn't have this in BWII) but Razorbeast looks like he turns into a bike

I would be great if in the comics they included some concept art of them in Cybertronian versions compared to their new beast modes.

Well in the flashback scene you see Magmatron lecturing his Predacon horde. Its easy to play 'match the Predacons' based on their facial features.
