Well the new Beast Wars Comic

Recommended Posts

I haven't read the new BW comic, but how much sense does it make to have a beast mode on a completely mechanical and robotic planet?

They don't have mechanical beast modes - their alt modes are vehicular. However, their Cybertronian robot modes look very similar to their Earthen robot modes. For example, Transquito's Cybertronian alt mode parts strongly suggests that he transforms into some kind of helicopter, but the way that the parts sit is very similar to his Earth form - but with the mosquito wings being replaced by helicopter blades etc. Even Razorbeast appears to be some kind of motorcycle.

It's kinda similar to what Don did with War Within - the Transformers' Cybertronian forms harking back to what their Earth forms will look like.

Magmatron's robot mode is entirely mechanical and his alt mode kibble all look vehicular, but at the same time, the robot mode still looks very much like Magmatron's BW Neo form and is instantly recognisable as Magmatron.

So what are the newer names for LeoConvoy and Bigconvoy in this comic?

As X-Bob58 said, it's Lio Convoy. And their names never changed. In the begining of BWII and BW Neo, both Convoys are still referred to as Lio Convoy and Big Convoy - especially Big Convoy, whose name was already legendary as the "One Man's Army" long before he was assigned a beast mode and placed in charge of training recruits for the Maximal military.

P.S. Don't even bother trying to think up names and alt modes for BW character's that were introduced via Status pod(except Rampage and Packrat) as the majority of them are "newborns"

wellactually Rampage was named by Megatron..that was the name given to him once he was turned into a predacon...his original name was Protoform X ;)

For one we get to see that on Cybertron the Tf have alt modes that look just like their beast modes on Earth.

if you look closely, Razorback's cybertronian form has wheels.  Warthogs don't have wheels. ;)

"Protoform X"... and they wonder why he went bad

Did Megatron give him that name? I don't remember that happening.

I donm' tthink the comic has anything to do with BW Neo other then having the characters show up.  In the comic his robot mode has a robotic lion on the shoulder instead of a real one.

Yes, it was Megatron who christened X "Rampage".

He was named "Protoform X" because he was an experiment by Maximal scientists in an attempt to reproduce the mutant phenomena that was Starscream's immortal Spark (which shall never rejoin the Matrix, thus granting his ghost immortality). In other words, the Maximals tried to play god.. the results were disastrous.

Madhammer just watch the epsiode "Bad Spark" again..its all in there

god i love that episode lol

It's also the same episode where Blackarachnia and Silverbolt fall in love. Aawwww...

For one we get to see that on Cybertron the Tf have alt modes that look just like their beast modes on Earth.  This finally puts to rest the problem I've had in the first episode where Cheetor, Rattrap, etc all have names that relate to their beast modes.  They weren't coming up with new names, they were just happy they found alt modes like their ones on Cybertron.

Also, the new Primal and Megs figure for 10th anniversery are definatly their Cybertronian alt forms and not their Earth beast modes, which makes me like the figures a whole lot more.

Good deal.  Only one issue in and this comic rocks.

Thank's for pointing out what I've known from day one of the 'new Primal and Megs'

However, this proves a sad point, :tfmad

I have accuratly pointed out the obvious time and time again, only to have it slaped down each and every time  :tfmad

Over the past year alone I have tried to start a non doom and gloom forum for the tomy/takara takeover only to have a bunch of saps slap it down!

When the first images of the Megao Convoy came out and everyone complained about the alt mode I pointed out it was based on a mega excavaitor only to have it slaped down multiple times only to have someone with a 'revelation' posting comparason pics and everyone going "OMFG" its true!

when everyone was speculating about the SWTF's I was the only one who suggested they might be 'meccanized versions of the SW caracters' ... and BINGO!!!

the list goes on, but I will not!, I'm tired of being the voice of the obvious and as a 34/5 year old fan and someone who knows through research just how has/tak think and a high batting average at the toymarket guessing game I at least should not have my opinion dissmissed on the spot! :wtf

Thank's goes out to all those nappy wealding brats out there who have made me sink to their level of narkiness I give you this :finger  (if to've red my last few posts you'll see what I mean)

To everyone else I apologise for my harsh tones.

This is oficially my last post!

Powers that be please feel free to remove my details from the site

And to all the Q sister out there, it's been a blast! keep safe and GIVE EM HELL :thumb
