I was just thinking of Beast Wars and Primal and wondered, since Primal had to carry and protect Prime's Spark and was thus chanced by the influence of the Matrix, how much of Primal's influence was imprinted on Prime?  Does he even know or acknowledge that Primal existed?  The Matrix does hold the remnance of all the anchient Autobot leaders.  Can Prime delve deeep into the matrix to talk to any of the leaders at any time?  Would he have known that Primal was a part of him?

it's a good question...but my understanding is that Prime's spark influenced Primal only when their sparks were combined. That was when he busted out into giganto-Primal looking all big and G1-ish, and started quoting Prime and stuff. Once the spark went back in Prime, Primal was 100% "himself" again, though he got to keep the body ;)

Very interesting topic. As far as actually being able to answer your question though, I don't know. What I do know is that time paradoxes are a bit heavy for something from a cartoon, but again, a very interesting topic.

yeah since Prime is so friggin mythic and legendary and sh*t. I can just see Vector Sigma squatting extra hard when it pooped out his spark. "THIS ONE WILL BE SPECIAL, I JUST KNOW IT."

I think he started around the time that the new-ish pics of THS-02 came out....

and that Munkyy-Prime was in no way related to G1 prime.

Then along came season three or something and the writers started relying on G1 retcon as a way to gain fan-cred. so he and megatron actually - surprise-surprise- ended up being the same guys from G1, despite everyone and everything saying that they werent for the first 2 years.

Of course-just cause it comes from the official writers and stuff - it doesnt mean that it isnt retcon or at the very least - an afterthought.
