my girlfriend has a vast knowledge of tfs. i love my girlfriend she buys me tf stuff all the time :thumb .

I'm lucky, my girlfiend thinks they are cool too. She even bought MP Prime for my Birthday! :clap All my friends think the same way too. Especially Altenators.

my wife thinks I'm weird, but not stupid for collecting them... althought she's started not liking how they are showing up in teh theater (living room with a kickin system).

 

If she laughed at you, roll with it, but if she keeps doing that, dump her... no need for that.

LOL My girlfriend doesnt care for Transformers funny thing is though because of me she can name almost every G-1 character sometimes to make people laugh i quiz her and they cant believe it and she says its not something she is proud of but i tell her it makes me proud she takes even the slightest intrest in my hobbies over the last 8 years

You can just say collecting bear and stuff animal collection or even Hello Kitties/Forever Friends is gay.

 

Collecting Transformer and playing transformer are two different things

well, im the only girl I know personally who likes TF's! maybe it's cause im Kool!

I once "entertained" a Japanese girl at mine in Britian, whilst I was at university. we started talking and she did a double take at Optimus and co on my desk. I pointed out that they "were closing their eyes" (some I had posed in that very pose!) and she laughed and didnt care about them after that.

 

Coupl of things to think about:

 

1/ She said TFS were bad, NOT you! (My GF thinks they are sad, but I gave her a WSTF Soundwave, a lmtd edition clear spychanger and a rare (ish) Lio Convoy Vinly figure. she loves them! Plus, I tell her that the "Sandman" by Neil gaiman is "pants", as she collects them and that rubbish equal oppurtunities superhero, daredevil.

 

2/ some girls are threatened by competition. Just reassure her that SHE is more important to you than your toys (regardless of the truth!).

 

3/ I once had this girl at my parents place. Nothing naughty went on. however, i adored her. She was funky, into my music (Bigbeat), was wearing my Japanese TF T-Shirt at the time and told me she thought my collection was COOL! (without a hint of Irony). I wanted to marry her on the spot until my brain couldnt deal with the conflicting impulses after she asked me "can I play with them?". Whats a guy to do? :roll

 

4/ my two university flat mates (both girls) said that BW TM2 megs and Tiger hawk were lovely. In fact, amost every girlfriend of mine likes Megs and Cryotec. My GF likes LioConvoy the best though!

It's obvious she meant something other than what you've interpreted:

 

1. Transformers are gay as in happy, since, well, they're transformers, and who wouldn't be happy to be a Transformer?

 

2. Transformers are gay as in homosexual, on account of there being so few female transformers. In which case it just means they have better dress sense (should be fairly easy to spot the straight ones, *cough*Armada Sideswipe*cough*).

 

Be happy! Your gf is clearly a Transformers expert.
