Rollbar issues- two birds with one stone?

I have to see it in person. It looks kinda red in the pics. But I do want a bright orange bot. Just to be different.

You can see the absence on the doors.

I might do the no-doors thing.  I don't think it makes that much of a difference in bot mode though.

actually I may just pass him all together and hope I luck out like I did with Deadend and find a Swindle. Everything about Swindle IMO looks more professionally done. That and he's a Decepticon. :tfevil

The color seems to photograph much brighter than it really is, I was a bit surprised to discover he's actually a relatively dark burnt orange.

 

His quote cracked me up:  "Front wheel drive is for sissies."

Okay, two of the main complaints I hear about him are:

 

1) Looks too much like Swindle, even with color differences

 

2) Paint is incomplete- doro handles and trim paint missing

 

 

 

 

How's about this? Someone posted a long way back how to remove the jeep doors on this mold. Why not just make this the norm for Rollbar? Remove the doors and you get a distinction in the mold, albeit a small one... and you don't have to worry about the missing paint ap.

I'm going to take option 3 and just not buy him.

 

However, I like the door idea, and I was looking to kitbash a second Swindle, so I may just use that one.

For the truly impatient who're decent with a paintbrush, he could be seen as an excuse to swap him with Prime and repaint it into TB, assuming that Hasbro even will remold the Ram as Trailbreaker

Ach!  That plastic is too transparent on Swindle.  I hope he comes in a twopack soon enough.  Would have made it worth while to pick him up.
