Canadian BW reissues dont come with the dvd!

Recommended Posts

Well. THat's great. I see they didn't even lower the price either. :roll

That's exactly what has me burned up. For what Hasbro's asking for a deluxe sized figure, and bits and pieces of a very poorly designed not to mention china feeling chase figure I expect to see a lot of these on clearence very shortly. i visited one Walmart on my last trip and they were literally overflowing in Cheetor's, Rhinox's, and Waspinator while most of Cybertron was cleaned out save a couple of Basics.

man wtf why does canada always get screwed over!?

I assume that it has something to do with the way the DVD content was licensed.

For instance, perhaps Hasbro is only free to include the DVDs in the American toys because in Canada another company still has rights from Hasbro to release Beast Wars DVDs.

Maybe, but if Hasbro owns the rights to begin with it really shouldn't matter where they ship. As for the Free Region issues I don't think that's it at all. Cybertron Snarl, Sideways, and the Armada retools were all packaged with DVDs so why the hell not Beastwars. This is probably one of those things Archer overlooked again. Kind of like how the US never got TRU Sideswipe for the longest time. :tftongue

As for us Canadians being screwed over I personally couldn't be happier. Distribution is finally shaping up. A bit slow for new releases but I'm happy to say we've seen everything in Cybertron up to Defense Red alert, the newest Alts including Tracks, Skids, and Prowl, and The first wave of Beastwars figs. For the first time ever in any line I haven't missed out on any. :thumb  Hopefully the trend continues throughout the year

Maybe retail versions dont have the DVD but comic shop and hobby store editions do?  Just a guess
