CATFISH N' RIBS!!!

better than the in-laws. located in dalycity on san pedro.

Tried it and loved it!  They have new steady customer now. :D

THANK YOU!

BTW, I forgot to thank you guys... CFNR is pretty damn good, easily up in my top 5 all time BBQ.

It's not better than Brother's, it's on par. They're two different things... Brothers' meat seem to be about the whole package, with a tangier sauce and more rounded thought. Catfish seems to be about really well cooked meat, on the salty side, with the sauce as an afterthought. It's damn freaking good, don't get me wrong, but the sauce isn't the feature, it's the meat.

Still haven't found myself on Divis lately, so I still don't know if Brothers is MIA... anyone go to the Justice League or anything around there and take a peak lately?

Crap on a pogostick.

I wonder what pulled them out. Really, I thought thier ribs were some of the best I have ever had, and I've eaten in Texas, Georgia, Idaho, Colorado and inner cities all over the place.

Damn. Shame.

Anybody else got some good ribs joints around town? There's supposed to be some place in Berkeley that rocked it, but I don't know where it is or what it's called.

Crap on a pogostick.

:pfx  - They were teh awesome. I too have eaten at many a BBQ joint and they are way at the top of my list. They will be terribly missed I am sure.

However, there is an answer! CANNABIS PRIME recommended a place called Catfish & Ribs located near the Colma BART station. Its fucking awesome!!! Really The place is easy to get to. Reasonably priced and has a lot of stuff Brother's In Law didn't. I have been there about 4 times now and they have not disappointed me yet.

PLEASE go and eat there or else they will close down too!  :thumb

Ya know, I went there, and they're good, but it's really no substitute for Brothers. Their fried fish, however, was pretty damn good, if a little salty, and I'd order it again.

It's just that the order took so damn long to get it was a little annoying.

But yeah-- I'd go back.

Satanstorm, a "link to the menu" is really funny... these guys would probably be *the last* business in the world to have a site. Go there and you'll see. Plan on taking out. The Colma cemetaries are nice, quiet places to eat around there.

They have your average BBQ stuff, plus fried catfish, though they run out of sides pretty damn quick.

Oh, and DO NOT GET the cobbler-- it's just a big sugar ball with a bit of apple.

Crap on a pogostick.

Just had CF&R again, and it solidified my stance that it's just nowhere near Brothers. The "medium" was too sweet, there was a *ton* of fat, and it tasted more like something coming from a Weber BBQ rather than a Texas-style smoker. If I ever do go back there it'll be for the fried fish. Sorry.

Any other suggestions?

I am with you, but what else is there now that they are gone? Most BBQ places suck IMO. A place that is even decent is a rarity.

Not to argue with you, but any place is hit or miss. You can get a rack that is dried out or fatty at any place if you go there enough.
