*For Rawhide*

You can kinda see the wings overlap through the bolt hole thingy shown here. Joo can also see the harness that bolts to the figures back. I had to make it stiff as hell cause it weighs a ton.

The backpack needed a low area to pin the wings to so I built it as shown. The boosters cover the bolts.

Anywho, here's the transformation.

mp160md.jpg

Stand it up using the usual Prime foot transformation

mp170jn.jpg

Remove the cargo bay. Extend legs. There's a cover around back that flips open the same as Prime had to conceal his head. It flips back here all the same to allow the arms to pass. Shift cockpit to one side and slide arm around to back. Twist cockpit the other way and repeat with other arm.

mp196ns.jpg

Cockpit down with both arms around back.

mp207ln.jpg

Arms swing to side. Chest panels flip in.

mp211bb.jpg

Chest panels slide in and lock onto cockpit concealing them little weapon pods. Arms down and fists out.

I forgot to mention that the backpack hangs out during all this making it unstable.

mp238im.jpg

Now the backpack pivots up into place and the wings slide in. And that's all there is doods.

Now remember, I'm not claiming this thing to be the greatest or most show accurate. My only intention was to build a Skyfire to go with my G1 doods as I wasn't interested in the original.

But Thanx for the compliments :thumb

Don't really see how/why you'd take it personally.

Cause he owns that site?  A little different sense of humor here.

On topic:

Ingenous transformation!

The thing I really like about this, besides the fact that both modes are perfectly show acurate  :thumb , is the fact that it's scratch built out of METAL!  You definately have a talent for it Wikkid!  Again, Excellent work!

Couple questions:

How heavy is it?  Is it pretty stable when posed?

How many man-hours do you think you have in it?

Couple questions:

How many man-hours do you think you have in it?

It weighs in at 6 pounds complete with gun. (Which is heavy due to the double barrels being mage of steel as well. This same bash could be done using any other plastic but metal works my thing. Plus it's pretty much indestructable, unlike Toonfire. It's stable when posed cause the weight in the front seems to offset the backpack.

I've got exactly 32 hours into it not including pre-planning or watching paint dry. The Sikkens autobase system is teh suck next to the PPG Global I used on the Smoked-screen bash. Long dry times  :tdown

The only one I've seen better is the one Scratch built years ago in the G2 style box for Botcon but otherwise this one is insanely good and built off of a mold for a semi.

Don't suppose someone could drum up pics of that one to substantiate that claim?

Again, awesome work, Wikkid.  Words can't express... and all that stuff.  :thumb

I saw it back when I started but never saw an alt mode. It had a gnarly ol box as well. For some reason, I can't find it anymore.

These are the only customs Google has.

Looks awesome, Wikkid.

I couldn't tell, what happens to the cargo bay after you remove it? Also, do you still have anything on the communicators, or they blank?

Still has Starscream and BB. I figured it fit being that Starscreams an old friend and Bumblebee usually has to bail him out when Starscream kicks his ass.  :tflaugh  Actually, that only happened once but it pretty much made Sky the sissy of the Autobots. RAR!
