ALT RICO & ROLLBAR

Recommended Posts

Are you guys serious?  The Jersey plates are for real?  If that's true it's beyond bizarre... Also, I was under the impression that white nose was only present in the test-shots.  I know good and well I saw Ricochets with all-gold faces not long ago.

Just picked them both up here at a Vegas Walmart this morning. I noticed Ricochet has New Jersey plates and Rollbar has Colorado plates... interesting!

I wonder how well US plates will go over outside the US?

The plates are for real.  As for the nose, for all I know, it might only be white on early releases of Ricochet.  The photo on the box does depict Ricochet with a painted nose, though.

Well, that's interesting... not really a deterrent, just an oddity.  I guess I'll have to start keeping an eye out, but my area just recently got the December wave, so it might be a while before I see anything.

Edit: Question - Is Rico a left-hand drive, or right?  I got the right-hand drive version of Silverstreak, and it'll be nice if Rico's that much different.

no he's in the next wave if i am correct

Rollbar looks good, and I think his head sits a little bit higher than Swindle's.  The only problem I had was in the waist pieces.  It was difficult to get the two to snap together but I it eventually.

Both my BT Hound and Alt swindle had the same problem with the waist-snap issue. A little work with a needle file (very carefully) will take care of that. And the head sitting a bit higher is a good thing, I actually tweaked the joint on my Swindle so it wouldnt look like he was constantly trying to pull the front of the jeep over his head all the time...

I wonder how much of this has to do with Takara not being involved anymore...?

would Hasbro need permission to use state liscense plates?

I'm guessing "no"... anyway I was just thinking that maybe Hasbro wasn't as high on the idea of Autobot symbols on license plates as Takara was...
