Can't argue with these mini-reviews.  I just ffound Cyb Downshift this morning before work.  It's probably just me, but this is the coolest vehicle alt mode of all time!  Man, I hope they do more of this sort of thing.

Hell, I've been thinking for a while how cool it would be if they did a Transformers 1950's series where the Autobots awoke in the 50's instead of the 80's...  you know with hotrods and all those cars with fins and so on?  The robot modes would need to look a bit more old fashioned as well so they could fit in...  probably sounds silly to most of you.  Personally, I love the idea of Transformers in another era of technology.

Also, Hot Shot is fabulous.  I've had the Japanese version for a while now, and it's definitely one of the most fun to transform and play with figures for a long time.  Great detail, great weaponry, neat hidden stuff all over (even has flip-out bumper cannons on the front of the vehicle mode).  Even the sword/knife thing is a neat add-on, including his little sheath for it on his left leg  (the knife can also be set in his hand as if mounted on his wrist, sort of Wolverine-like).  Just a great, great figure - definitely the best of the Cybertron defense team.
