Thanks TFormers for ruining the surprise when I get my new TCC issue

Well I'm sure you could fully read the thread title and the picture was in a link, nobody forced you to click it...

Well everyone else seems to already know this, but I was unaware of the fact that these toys were going to be a "reinterpretation" of the original characters, and not (at all) show-accurate. It's just really jarring to see these EXTREEEM Beast Wars guys. Not what I was hoping for.

From the way people talked, these were supposed to GODLIKE.  Well, here we see them and guess what?  They're not as GODLIKE as people proclaimed IMO, but they are still far better than the original figures.  I will get them, because I do like what I see, but I am a little disappointed.

Yeah thats like blaming the news and sports service for telling you things when you watch them ;)

I have a feeling that picture will be taken down very quickly.  TFCC could try to protect their magazine content.

They could but last time was not a PR coup for them, indeed it served only to annoy a large part of their potential customer base

Those are pretty cool, and will be great on my self :thumb

Why does the topic say pics when there's only one pic?

INJUSTICE, I SAY!

First post that made me rofl and didn't reck of fanboyness. :tflaugh

Anyway, I'll be buying these, since I don't want the $60 dollars chunks I have already.

looks like they will be taking that pic down soon.

it sure would be nice if Mirage came with an alt paint scheme like so:

No, No, No! As is. It should come as is.

My first reaction upon seeing Primal / Megatron:

OMFG NO WHAT DID THEY DO????????? :guh :stone :tard :puke :fire a79c2258.gif

They're... they're..... ANIME-LOOKING MECHS!!!!

*siiiiiiiigggghhhhhhh*

oh well, so much for collecting BW reissues. :grr :grr :grr

:guh + :pfx

looks like they will be taking that pic down soon.

Once again an strangely Outback reaction instead of using it as an advertising platform, seems to me that businessmen may want to run the mag/botcon and not the fans as this would likely result in a more fan friendly relationship. For example people see grainy images and may want to check out the rest of the mag and join, their current practice is to form a type of clique which in turn will make people bloody minded about giving them their hard earned money.

If the images are taken down I would personally host them on my webspace if they are removed anyway.

Alt Mirage looks amazing, as does Nemesis Breaker and Cannonball.  I'm just... not too big of a fan of straight repaints.  Any slight remold is good enough to satisfy me.

If anyone checks my other posts on the board, you can tell that I'm not a beast-former fan at all.  Yet the new Megatron and Optimus Primal figures are interesting, and I will probably pick those two up when I can find them.  To me, they seem like an interesting design, perhaps a pre-Beast Wars as some have mentioned.  Even if they didn't have exact beast forms on Cybertron before landing on Earth, I suppose I can come up with the comparison:

10th Anniv BW Megs+OPrimal --> TV show version Megs+OPrimal

could be an equivalent transition to:

War Within --> G1
