Imagine that -- I don't fit a stereotype :eek

I beleive that you stereotype yourself ;)

I believe that I think these figures are neat. :P

Unexpected? HELL YES.

However, I still like them. Besides, my OpOp and TM Megs satisfy my need for teh accurate BW leaders.

I will be getting these.

"nostalgia goggles" :roll

As if there could be no legitimate reason why I might not like these figures.

To my eyes, they look a lot like the other Cybertron beastformers I've already seen. And I don't happen to like the design aesthetic behind the Cybertron beastformers.

Even so, these are being released as Beast Wars figures, as part of a 10th anniversary reissue line. What if they had released Cybertron Prime as 20th Prime instead of the one we got? It's the same thing with these guys. Exactly the same thing.

Unfortunately - i agree with you on the Cy-Beastformers.  so far they have been craptastic.

HOWEVER- Lets consider that ANY judgement we make about the fuzzy unclear image - is going to be tenative - and these figures on the basis of this image alone (and the assumption that as new pics appear, reactions will improve - because lets face it - it happens with every single figure, save maybe saidos)

Then - i think this is a solid starting point to seeing some nice pics of nice figs soon.

Anyway -reread my post and you will see i wasnt making the assumption that you only had one way of creating an opinion.  I was asking you if you had taken a second look and if you could objectively say the figs were still crap.

I honestly approach every new release with optimism.  I want to like every Transformer available.... doesnt always happen, and i am FAR from a completist for any line - but being different is hardly a reason to knock a figure.

Again- its unfortunate that hasbro is marketing them as if they were repaints....

If Hasbro released BW10th repaints of megs/primal and then these as Cybertron Homages

A) the fans would not be complaining right now

B) the craptastic BW10th Season 1 molds would STILL be shelfwarmers.

Hunter

Honestly?

Those BW 'reissues' look ugly. This is not coming from someone who hates the Cybertron Animalformers or has any excessive amount of devotion to Beast Wars at all (other than Waspinator, but let's not go there..)

I thought it was nifty when people mentioned the old figures would be redone simply to the point of having Cyber Key gimmicks. If you're going to ~completely~ redesign something, make it look good. Not like this. =\

The picture isn't fuzzy or unclear, at least to me. It shows me what they look like and I don't like it. That's it.

You have watch those TM Megs. They like to break for no apparent reason. There was a thread last week where I thought I was the only one and then like 12 people chimed in. Mine has been in a box for 2 years unplayed with and it's broke in half. All my other figs are intact and unscratched except TM Rattrap. If you own em, Nuff said.

unless I'm much mistaken, there's a cyber key thingy slot on Megatron's left shoulder. It looks bigger than his right shoulder. Which would make sense since I'm sure his tail will do something.

This is the site that pissed & moaned like spoiled children because Aaron used to have a regular forum on TFW until the fans were deprived on a regular access to the head of the TF design team, and yet you slags are the first to steal from other sites. Word of advice: have some brains for two seconds & remove the scans from the magazine before TFCC gets fed up with this site and goes after you legally.

that file is hosted by photobucket, and not TFans!

its not anywhere on the TFans server
