Cybertron/Galaxy force question

Recommended Posts

It is the same universe, as the destruction of Unicron leads to the Grand Black Hole.

Personally, I choose to follow 2 paths, either of which make SL -> Galaxy Force work perfectly:

1) Cybertron and the Space Bridge project and all that is either an alternate dimension or a "changed" history, sorta like in Star Trek's many time travel eps, or

2) Just completely and utterly ignore the presence of humans in Superlink. It was a different species altogether.

Actually, Galaxy Force IS a sequal to Superlink.

Most notably:

Yuki Hisashi says the following. Transformers Galaxy Force is the final installment of the Micron trilogy that began with Micron Legends.

PWN'd!!!

I personnaly don't really care if it follows Armada/Energon, or Micron/Superlink or whatever.

What interests me is the opportunity for more toys.  :tfgrin

I tend to agree, but you have to admit it'd be great to get a transformers series done with the same attention to quality a good anime series is given.

I don't watch the shows cause they stink. I buy the toys no matter what.

I'd rather see it as Micron Legend to Superlink, and Galaxy Force as a separate entity.

believe me, i'd like to do that but there's just no ignoring the fact that GF Megs is a Megatron/Unicron hybrid.

If you ever watched Galaxy Force....Vector Prime and Primus both mention that another demisions evil was destroyed that's what caused the black hole in this demesion... Not Unicrons destruction of this period.

That's the only way IMO that Galaxy Force is a direct sequel to Superlink and Micron Legend!

Hasbro's version just sucked!

Plus seeing Megatron go from Megatron to Super Megatron in ML, to Galvatron in Super link back to a hybrid power Master Megatron... is far more believable than.

Megatron to Galvatron, back to Megatron then again back to Galvatron then yet again back to megatron and getting destroyed, reformatting himself back to Megatron then becoming Galvatron!

Ouch my brain hurts now! :eek

True, but the main problem is the fact that all three series were made by different companies and unfortunately the storylines reflected this leading to a very mismatched trilogy, if only the one company was responsable then a more 'graduated'solid storyline would have emerged.

From what I understand Micron/Armada and Superlink/Energon were done by the same company

What Hasbro did wrong was to force the same old character names in most of the new characters. This broke many things, for example

the name "Noisemaze" is related to "Soundwave", but Sideways... and at the end they are no heralds of Unicron, they just happen to have a personal agenda with Gigalonia. The mere fact that Noisemaze pretends to be an ally at the beginning, doesn't relate him with Sideways

It's not that GF has nothing to do with the previous series. It takes place after them, but not inmediately. The characters are not the same ones. That is what Hasbro got wrong in my opinion. They wanted to simplify, and they messed everything.

As a toyline yes, show no.

Not too mention that Takara doesn't seperate the toy-line from the show, in fact, they more often than not design their toys to resemble their show counterparts as closely as possible.

My understanding from all the TF lines is that Takara/Hasbro comes up w/ the initial designs of the toys and then the animators use those molds as a basis for the appearance of the characters on the show.

In other words, toys first, show second, not the other way around. After all, why would the toy company let the animators design their toys for them?

Totally agreed on that.

ML.HotShot was a hot shot, and he matured into SL.HotShot.  GF.Exillion is completely back to being a hot shot, but he has no relationship to the previous bearers of the HotShot name.

On the other hand, A-HotShot was a hot shot, wisened up to become E-HotShot, but becomes a hothead again in Cybertron?...
