I brought my Jazz (Meister) Alternator to work...

Recommended Posts

I started with leaving Swindle on my desk. Now all 5 of my Decepts are there. They get attention, all positive so far. No one's gonna take 'em cause this place has cameras everywhere and everyone in my dept knows they're mine. One of my Co-workers leaves his 20th OP on his desk, so I figured my alts were safe too.

Two of you in one office??? Interesting.

I think that I will never be taking any of my TFs to my office. I kinda need to keep that professional air and can't afford for people to be wondering why I am acting like a child (I am an attorney btw and an avid TF collector). But if you guys want to take your stuff to work, then more power to you. Hopefully it won't cause you too many problems.

It's a tech support/IT center. Everyone's got some kind of kitsch on their desks. I'm actually one of 5 collectors I know of on this floor. Some of the guys bring their new alts in to show off and then take them home again. There's also a small 90's Godzilla, and 3 small Astromech droids on my desk (R-2, R-3, and R-4 types)

Wow, a sci-fi geek's heaven. I am not sure if I would be totally comfortable w/ working there b/c I more or less like to keep the collecting to myself (or at least an at-home thing), but I am pretty positive that none of this would go over well in the law firm or courthouse.

Good for you though. Must be nice to "geek out" w/o having to worry about it too much. Just don't get too carried away like Thad_theImpaler and take so many that you have more TFs at work than most people have in their entire collection.

c717905- What you do is choose ONE Alt, in Alt mode and leave him next to whatever kitsch you have. (trophy, pics, whatever) and only those that KNOW what they are will know it's not just a 1:24 model of your favourite Jeep/Sports car. Lots of formal offices have one model of a boat, car, plane in them.

Anyone that knows what it is, a wink and a nod and that's that needs be said.

Might be a good place to keep the spare swindle everyone will be buying and ripping the head off to repaint and put on Alt Prime.

I wouldn't take a TF I really care about to work.. thats just me. Of course, I'm not condemned to a little box in a big room.. I'm more condemned behind a register.. :tfmad

I wouldn't take an expensive toy to work either.  That's why I bought a second Cyb.Sideways for that purpose.  I'm going to buy a second Cyb.OP when he drops a bit more in price to leave at work too.  I have doubles of Alt Jazz/Tracks/Grimlock too, but I haven't gotten the heart to bring those to work just yet.  :P

I'm the only one with TFs around here, but one Engineer has a Trigun statue of Vash the Stampede at his desk, while the lead Tech Support guy has a Lego Technic Star Wars Battle Droid at his cubicle.

Nice.

Always fun to be in on a little secret.

I usually keep 3-4 alts on my desk at work and most people didn't know about alts. They love that they look like real vehicles. I've received no negative feedback so far :D

I've had 4-5 guys go out and buy some after seeing mine. Especially the ones that noticed during the Sideswipe/Smokescreen two-pack era.

Incidentally, my Swindle is currently in posession of the Matrix thhat goes with my co-worker's Prime.

Heheheee.

it's not a good idea to bring TFs to work.  It's a bad habit... lol.  I have been bringing atleast 1 to work since Jazz had his day.  from Soundwave to Ransack, I have had one each and everyday :)  besides today... I brought my new Transformers Complete Collection book intoday, which kicked ass, though i cant read japanese :(
