MISP/B 20th Ann. Prime - Black Gun

Recommended Posts

Cool then. We have to think of it this way : G1 Victory Leo could sell for $250 now even though it was probably only a $40 toy back then. Demand and rarity set the price.

Exactly

Alright trolls, you're just saying the same thing thats been said 30 times already in this thread, so you're done. I feel sorry for  RDD, since he/she (i honestly don't know :redface ) has defended the same argument a million times in one thread. Let it go. If you don't like the prices, go Starscream elsewhere. But don't keep interfering with this. You all aren't the final authority on everything, as it seems some of you think you are.

Really.  I mean, come on, I want a Chevy SSR, but I think Chevy is way overcharging for them.  You don't see me standing outside the dealership with a picket sign, do you?  Nope, I'm just waiting until I find a used one in my price range.

If you can't afford the item you want at the price it's being sold for, then don't buy it.  If you can buy it elsewhere cheaper, awesome.  Go do so.  Otherwise, STFU.

  • 2 weeks later...

While it's all about what it's worth to you, I have never seen a 20th Ann. Optimus Prime at a retail store for more than 70 US DOLLARS. The version with the black gun, was offered at Walmart and was around $65 EVERYWHERE. I don't care what kind of inflation there is out there. It wasn't $100. I even found one marked down to $20, locally. Like I said though, it's all about what it's worth to you or whoever would or wouldn't buy it.

I think we are just trying to help him sell it.  That's all.  He WILL be able to sell it if the price is reduced a bit.  I think most people here use ebay to at least check prices.

So one mod comes in and says basically, stop complaining about the price... and another comes in and starts the whole thing up again?!?! WTF!

READ MY PREVIOUS POST ON THIS MATTER! I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU LIVE! GET IT? GOT IT? GOOD!

But hey, thanks for the bump again  :thumb

My local Wal-Mart had them marked down to $50 a while back.  Sorry to post on your thread, but what is up with the attitude!  Not going to seel much like that.  Chill dude.

I remembered some people posted on the board saying that it was on clearance at Walmart for $20 some time last year...... :redface

Anyway, it was retailed in Canada for CAD$100, I don't think it was retailed in the US for US$100.  And at some point TRU in Canada had that on sale for CAD$50.

:tdown

That's when I got mine.  :thumb

if you check ebay, like I said they're going for $150-@200 + shipping easily...

Not true, your link is not going to help you.

I just clicked on it and wow, 20th Prime MISB "buy it now" for $99 plus $15 shipping.

I don't think anyone is thread crapping you.......I think the fans here are just tring to help you out here by telling you that you might want to change your price. Com'n now most everyone here on this thread alone already has one.

These guys are just trying to give you some healthy advice and tell you that you are pricing yourself/product way out of the market.

Judging by what I just saw on your link they are right! a total of $160 of a toy that only costs $115 total is way out there.

The only reason (I think) we see a whole lot of them on e-bay right now is because these guys were o clearence at Big-Lots once selling for $20.....of course not anymore....and in some cases, wal-mart for $50. so given that these guys are looking to make between $40 to $80!!!!

I'm going to wager that you didn't get yours for $20 or even $50.

My advice to you is to hang on to that 20th prime for a while. Let it actually appreciate in value. Maybe there will really be less of them and they will go up in value say maybe $300 or so. :thumb

People, people, people.

1.) If this was your thread and RDD came in and did the exact same thing you're doing right now...you'd get indignant and post all pissed off. "Oh yeah? I'd be different!" you might say, well to that I say BUP BUP BUP...shaddap. You cannot worm your way out of this one.

2.) It is not YOUR place to "help" with the pricing/sale of an item that doesn't belong to you. You aren't the person selling it nor buying it, so let it go. Quit being Outback about someone else's life.

3.) You're not buying it, so move on! If you're buying it, go for it! Otherwise, just let it drop. Just move on with your own pathetic lives and let this be handled as RDD chooses to.

4.) Part of the reason ya'll are "helping" is at least one of you (if you could grind down the price low enough) would buy it.

This has been a disgusting display. I don't give a good flying Blot whether or not you agree with a seller's tactics. IT ISN'T YOUR PLACE TO SAY A DAMN THING! IT ISN'T YOUR PLACE TO "CORRECT" IT! Say whatever you want in the back of your mind, take it to PM if you absolutely must, say a simple "Wow..." or something, but leave it at that and STFU...*NOW*!

Sleddogg has always been a vocal person, but he also doesn't get the idea when the gettin's good. Here? It's none of his business, be quiet. Bothustla's thread "Will you take a trade? I'll make it worth it!" (repeat repeat repeat) when Bothustla clearly said "FOR SALE" not trade, "FOR SALE!". Droning on about "do you smoke?" in all the threads he possibly can is ridiculous. 1.) People smoke. Get over it. 2.) If you're that worried about it, go buy the damn thing in a store. 3.) Not everyone smokes, not every toy is encrusted with tar and nicotine, so life will be just fine.

Skullfire has good intentions, can't knock him for that. At least he's trying to do this with dignity. It's still not his place to, but at least he's doing it with a modicum of decency. Although it's not his place to pass judgement on how much RDD actually spent on said item. Besides, it doesn't matter. If it sells at RDD's opted price, then that's what it's worth.

quiktake says he thinks they're all in here trying to help RDD sell it. It's quite possible that that *is* the idea and there's a certain merit to that. Here's the problem though...why? Why is it anyone's place to come in, derail, and nitpick an item they're not buying? "helping" or otherwise?

AutobotMaximal opened a can of worms he shouldn't have. This thread was pretty much dead or at least in limbo. Yet days later, he kicks the coffin over and brings new life into something that died of disgrace last week. No offense to him, but that's not a moderator doing his "job" right. Moderators and Admins are definitely entitled to their opinion like the rest of us of course, they're human. However, they represent the board they "work" for (and I use the term loosely because no matter how much you think it's a job, it isn't. No pay, no benefits and if you believe INTERNET power over another is a benefit, God help you, because the world doesn't work like that. NOTE: This last part was not aimed at AM, it was a generalized statement for those who have "power" or wish to.) and because they represent the board and it's staff...they should be held up to a higher standard like they expect of us. Would you want to be the owner of a business and have your employee imply a customer is a tramp or bum and have them be your face for the public? No of course you wouldn't and if you do, you're either making a terrible joke, or so dumb you shouldn't BE in business.  AM's human like the rest of us, but the cavalier attitude, the opening of said can of worms, disregarding posts and threads in ATA (some of which are real and demand respect and an honest answer besides a basic "I don't give a Powerglide, this is how it is!") doesn't ingratiate him with anyone or at least those who like to have some respectability when they come here. INH is for posts that make you laugh and think twice about something, the rest of the board is divvied into sections appropriate for one thing or another and having a blause' attitude like it's all INH and one of their "childish" posters is disrespectful. Puts a bad face on the board.

Now...I'm sure you're all going to say "well you're no better, you posted and you're not helping!" You're damn right I'm not "helping", helping you jack a price down because you feel it's your God-given right to screw with another person's wishes. Guess what? IT'S NOT YOUR RIGHT! I'm sick and tired of people walking all over one another because a person doesn't fit your design or your whim. Another problem? What I've said here actually makes sense, and it puts you on the spot and you have to actually look at yourself in the mirror and say "What does he know? Maybe he's right, but I'd like to think different". Well go ahead and feel free to think different, but you know I'm right and you hate it. You hate the fact that you're not perfect and it's not your place to screw with someone, but you can't stop yourself from making Me Grimlock no bozo, me king!ed comments about someone's TOY sales thread.

If you spent even 25% of that energy into something more productive, you'd be amazed at what you could get done in your own lives that need fixing and taking care of, but no...it makes more sense to give it your best, your all and 100% of that energy not bettering anyone, but belittling them.

You deserve what you get, hence my post.

This is the last I'm going to say in this thread, direct your comments at me if you wish, but I will not respond because I will not help you further derail this thread anymore and you should stop too.

RDD, (too little, too late apparently) the thread's your's. Good luck.
