Just watched Energon

okok, i stand corrected.

i do not want to start a fight over this and i apologize for making you upset;  thats one note that i realized i didn't mention shortly after making my previous post (hasbro retuning the anime series for the dubbed version).  maybe if you have mentioned earlier that gonzo/takara "screwed up" then i prolly wouldn't be arguing with you.

all i am saying regarding comics is that it may not necessarily (but not always) match what happens in the anime (and yes i know dreamwave went bankrupt last year), but i stand corrected for the fan club comic

to each their own i guess as i prefer watching the japanese version over the english version and i am a takara guy more than a hasbro guy so to speak

again, sorry for starting this debate

Actually, I'm not really upset or angry or anything. Perhaps I've worded my responce abit too strongly, but no, not upset.

(*grinds axe*)

And I'm also probably abit more of a Takara guy myself, as these three series are the best TF fiction ever produced, and I desire show accuracy in the toys. Though Takara does have a nasty habit of not completing their toy-lines (How's that Superlink Sixshot figure?), and Hasbro's non-show stuff are pretty nice.

cybertron is ok

energon was meh

armada was "oh my god please make it stop"

the dubs are improving there is no doubt about it

btw the japanese armada series was micron legend

All I know is that I've always thought that it's a bit silly to have such major aspects of a certain series COMPLETELY disappear if the following series is supposed to be a continuation - what happened to the Omnicons? Where the hell are Kicker, Rad, Alexis and Carlos? What about Dr. Jones?

If Cybertron is supposed to be a sequel to Armada/Energon, there are LOADS of PLOTHOLES.

I can't remember which Cybertron episode it was, but I do quote Optimus Prime: "I've never heard of two Transformers combining before!"

Umm....YOU DID IT ALL THE TIME IN THE LAST SERIES.

Apparently he deoesn't remember COMBINING with Omega Supreme. :roll

Hasbro really needs to try harder if they want Cybertron to be the final part of that trilogy.

i remember that it'[s the episode with leobreaker, i can't remember which ep it is but it is up on hasbro.com/action

although i stand corrected with the possibility that gonzo/takara screwed it up (a bit hard to believe personally but it's always a possibility so i shall give it the benefit of a doubt), i am still not convinced yet (as i said before i dont want to start a fight again so i will leave it at that).....it will really depend on how well hasbro fixes the story to make it look like a sequel, which we will see in time

but i still stand by my opinion that galaxy force is overall a well-done series even as a "non-sequel", and it really is.

Who knows. Not everyone from Armada returned for Energon either.

Just one of the few dub errors in the series. Nothing to be taking serious or as evidence that this is somehow a new continuity.

BTW what was Armada in Japan?

Micron Legend, if you ever find it fansubbed let me know.

But Energon had enough recurring characters from Armada for it to make it a sequel...we had some minicons, three of the human characters and the remains of Unicron. And in Energon we had the Autobots cooperating with the Earth government.

While I can agree that the black hole could very well be Unicron...

Why does the government not recall the Transformers at all? Why doesn't Optimus Prime contact the Earth government to let them know that they've returned to Earth?

I don't know. There are just too many inconsistencies for me to say that it's a continuation.

But I do like the Cybertron series. I just like to watch it on it's own merits.

The Earth government likely didn't want them back, and all the missing characters are simply just elsewhere.

The Omnicons are pacifists, and likely left Cybertron shortly after The Powerlinx Battles to not risk getting caught up in possible future wars.

Maybe not 100% satisfactory, but that's kinda the nature of this universe, some characters return, some don't.
