the clear and black hot rods and starscreams came out it 2000-2001 after a japanese convention ...they were ehobby exclusives to the 'Normal' versions of  them that were released at the convention. they are very limited in number, and they are now older reissues. i have the ghost and black star scream and I got them when they came out and If i remember correctly they were $150 each then.

why wont they make a RM HOT ROD OR RODIMUS using the clear/black color since not all of us can afford those exclusives.... :tdown

They are expensive because there are like 1000 of each.  When supply (hot rod) doesn't meet demand(people wanting them) , the price goes up.  So like if there were only 10 cars in the world, they would be selling for $100million each.  This is also why you see people bidding so much on some old G1s on ebay.  Simply because there are not alot left to satisfy everyone so the people with the most money will get them.  Business 101.

 

And if they made a million of them then it wouldn't be "exclusive".

their not next on my list, but theyre deffinetly on it. ive seen some reprolabels made specifically for the black rodimus. it makes all the difference. and the ghost starscream is inticing as well. black ss, not so much. that moldy green on him is fugly. besides theres already a black seeker and his secondary colors are more complimentary than the black ss.

black and clear not over $150 for now

out of the 4 I have just one: ghost starscream.  I got his because of he fact that out of all the 4, Ghost was a show character.  I got mine for 40-50 when i was out
