News is Don Murphy says its a fake.

I had the feeling. Too Toon accurate. Like I said here earlier, it reminded me too much of that garbage dump Prime video. If it is fake some one is HIGHLY skilled out there. Wonder how long they've been working on that?

just because DON the almighty says it's fake,  hardly classifies it as so....  No one wants their test footage leaked and denial is always the best policy, though in this case it'd be a mistake since it looks so nice.

That garbage dump Prime video was nowhere near the quality of this thing. This was photorealistic CGI.

Your right. the animation though is what reminded me of that video. On another note, You think Don is lying? I like hearing your serious thoughts on this crazy stuff we post here.

I wouldn't want to speculate about Don lying or not. But if the film looks fake, then I'm not going to argue about it.

All I'll say is that the look on the guy's face is priceless.

eh, it was a kool piece of film, and i could care less if it is or is not real. I'll wait for more reliable scorces.

It is cool, which is why it seems strange that anyone would fake it up before releasing it. Were they really that uncertain it wouldn't stand on its own merits.

I bet its not fake. Murphy & friends probably leaked it out on purpose to get fans reactions to the transformation sequence. How picky they would be about it. When I saw it I was utterly estatic. I havent gotten that giddy since I was a little kid.

I hope this is true. I dont know what to think anymore. Part of me thinks it is really fake cause it looks like the stuff on Michael Smiths site but at the same time if it's real it could just look like that cause it's early test footage. I have to admit, if it's fake, some one has a whole hell of a lot of time on their hands. Not to mention money to produce that quality of work. It's better than the transforming Nike!

And Ian Bryce also adds his comments:

Hello all and a Happy 2006 to you all......Don is correct. This footage is a hoax. It is NOT from ILM and NOT from the movie.

More later...just back from scouting trip.....will come on again.

Ian

I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will still continue to think it's genuine, but certainly seems as fake as fake can be to me.

Even if this is actual footage - it doesnt mean that ANYTHING in the movie will look even close to this.

Like MAdhammer pointed out - did the exploding Trash Can scene ever appear in the Matrix?
