ILM TF Promo is a fake says Murphy

Recommended Posts

News is Don Murphy says its a fake.

I had the feeling. Too Toon accurate. Like I said here earlier, it reminded me too much of that garbage dump Prime video. If it is fake some one is HIGHLY skilled out there. Wonder how long they've been working on that?

just because DON the almighty says it's fake,  hardly classifies it as so....  No one wants their test footage leaked and denial is always the best policy, though in this case it'd be a mistake since it looks so nice.

That garbage dump Prime video was nowhere near the quality of this thing. This was photorealistic CGI.

I think it's too early to have these test-shots. It'll take another year or so before we can truly expect to see anything that might show up in the movie.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Just one more year!

the movie is scheduled to release in a year... FYI

And it's not going to be in the movie. That's why it's called A TEST.

Your right. the animation though is what reminded me of that video. On another note, You think Don is lying? I like hearing your serious thoughts on this crazy stuff we post here.

the film is a fake? damn, i knew it was too good to be true :(

I don't see how it could be fake test footage, unless some enterprising fan has taken it upon themselves to create, render and composite a CGI sequence and then videotape it as they're projecting it in a screening room...

Nah, they just digitally added a looped film with sproket holes - have a look in slow motion and you'll see it's the same few seconds of sprockets repeated over and over with dust specks and "countdown" numbers in the same spots. And if it was being projected you see the sprocket holes and if it was being played digitally you shouldn't see them then, either.

It's the sort of thing someone would throw on to make it look like test footage.

The fact that Don says it's fake is just confirmation. It's fake for a number of other reasons.

Looks like a new Michael Smith movie to me. Similar style and rendering.

EDIT: Don's comments for those that didn't see them.
