every few months I do large orders from HLJ. I already have deluxe prime and I don't have the time to hunt as much as I could several years ago.

 

In the end after shipping and customs, I only pay a few dollars more per toy. Which is a small price to pay for all the time and gas I save.

 

Also, I find Takara's quality is a little bit better.

 

So that's why I did that.

 

of course once TRUonlline Canada gets up and running that may change things a little.

 

Also, I don't buy everything from HLJ, just my favourites.

nada includes a combination of: Rodimus, Snowcat, Demolishor, Prowl, Insecticon; older deluxes and basics; Ironhide, Jetfire, Scorponok, Landmine, Prime; Universe King Atlas, older Universe; Alt Smokescreen and Sideswipe; TRU reissues previous to Sideswipe, Universe Ramjet.

 

Nada does not include Arcee. Must have looked through 80+ basics today -- no Arcee. Go figure. And TRU Lansdown did not appear to have ANY G1 Reissues. Odd, that. Langley, Surrey and Coquitlam has lots.

It's an Overload in Ultra Magnus packaging? That's odd.

 

Someone may have returned it with the Armada toy rather than the Energon toy. Or it could be some move by Hasbro to clear out old Armada stock similar to the Unicron situation. Either way kind of weird.

I took a good look at the Overload. The packaging/tape is mint. And nothing inside appears to have been disturbed. So either this is the best repack job I've ever seen or this is similar to the Armada Unicron shipping in Energon Unicron boxes. That is, they probably had some extra Overload stock sitting around and boxed 'em up and sent them out.

 

It was funny. I saw it from a distance, and saw it was the E-Magnus box, and my heart jumped, and then I saw it was dark inside (red) instead of light (blue/white), and my heart sank and I cursed the TF gods for teasing me.

 

Since there's a lull in the domestic market, I'm thinking about catching up with the imports. I've still yet to get a couple of the Takara reissues that I wanted, and maybe the B/T stuff or whatever. I've heard there's a store in the Crysal Mall near Metrotown, can anybody swing by and report what's in stock currently? If some one could do that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm looking to eventually get Takara Soundwave, Megatron, and Hound. I would mind just looking a the B/T guys -- I've yet to see one in person, but I don't know if I'd actually buy one -- depends on price, and/or how jonesing I was, I guess. And then there others like Worlds Smallest and Robot Masters that I'm curious about.
