That's true, most customs I see nowadays are Alts.

I don't have any of my own customs but if you haven't seen these you should check them out. http://www.unicron.com/alterations/

 

I still plan on trying that TM2 Megatron articulated neck idea on my extra someday...

My main thing about BW figures is that since they turn into animals, they are a lot more limited on what else you can make.  I have thought about some customs, but how much can you do with (for example) Optimal Optimus' body?

U can always try and find out what kind of paint apps you can place on him or u can make some attachments to him

 

he doesn't have to be accurate like we mostly see with the Alt customs....

Well, if you take that example.

 

I'm currently working on repainting Oppy Optimus into a BW Ultra Magnus (with some slight mods to the head and the gun). Should have some pics of the head and gun this weekend.

 

I'm also going to make one pretty similar but in Diaclone Powered Convoy colors  (in japan this mold was named Powered Convoy) with a more Prime like head.

 

I've also played with the idea of making it into a Rodimus Primal. Colors are already close and if you mount some exhaust-like pipes on the outer arm panel you get a more Rodimus feel (these can be actual exhaust pipes by placing this panel on top of the arms in car mode).

 

And I'm still working on the design for severely kitbashing a Primal Prime into a character of my own (Ultimus Prime): RiD Prime head, two bigger handguns, G1 Jetfire like backpack, those Rodimus-like arm exhausts/weapons, and instead of the gorilla chest a better nose for the jet and car mode (and if possible a matrix).

 

Just four ideas for this mold, but I'm sure there are plenty more. I at least remember having seen an Optimus Prime made out of this.

I always loved you waspinator Cyclone. Think I could get you to make a head like that for my Waspy figure?? lol, Or an even better idea, send it over to Ken @ KCC for reproduction.

I'm working on a BW Inferno, but it won't be ready for a bit longer...  I don't want to say much in case it turns into a pile of crap instead of the shimmering vision of brilliance I was kinda holding out for.

 

...useful, I know.

Change of plans.  Too bad his transformations requires what looks to be a Clampdown.
