A lot of characters shrug off energy beams and explosives like they were cupcakes. I was watching Day of the Machines, where Prime calls Grimlock and crew in to scrap TORQs automated machines....Grimlock gets a pounding from the combined firepower of a dozen or more machines. Granted, Grimlock is badass and impervious to just about anything (yet Wheelies energy slingshot rose a red welt on his snout...go figure  :tftongue ).

and the dinobots stomping on Unicron were the only ones who wounded him from the outside.  Yet an exploding moon base didn't even scratch him.

It is very inconsistent indeed.

However I would not say that the Matrix is a weapon. The Matrix is more like an acient artefact with immense powers which can be called upon during certain crises.

A weapon can be used at any given time such as the Starsaber or Requiem Blaster.

I think Galvatron's cannon mode would rank quite high when it is fueled by Unicron as it was during Transformers The Movie.

The Beast Wars fan in me is surprised the Nemesis didn't make the list. . .

Maybe Wheelie's slingshot should be on this? After all, if it can wound Grimlock, even slightly, then it's got to be a damned powerful and underestimated weapon.

Was Wheelie more powerful, and therefore more annoying, than any of us gave him credit for?

"I like that idea, let's go eat some Papaya!"

>_> NAAH! :tflaugh

Noah in gun mode powered by Primus with all four Planet Force. Now that's a weapon fit for a god.

galvatron cannon gun not so strong after he destroyed planet

Do you not know, my son, that it is not the power of the weapon, but the skill of the one who wields it that determines a weapon's true effectiveness.

*sound of a gong*

I vote the hydra cannon.
