Brushguard detailing

Recommended Posts

Scored a Brushguard with bonus Armorhide today (check your Kaybees!) and did some paint work on him.

Hard to see in the pics, but his wheels (including the spare) are black with dark metallic grey rims.

I did his feet up as a bull bar with floodlights, and I cut the rod off his missile so it wouldn't stick out of his back (and also for my own sake...he fell onto his back, which discharged the missile and darn near hit me on the nose.

I think he looks a bit like some kind of mountain rescue vehicle with the bull bar, and in fact, I was contemplating giving him emergency-orange striping and maybe a little lightbar or bubble gum light. Inappropriate for a Decepticon, but they're robots in disguise, remember?

If you want to see him with his feet in their proper position:

Next up, of course, is Armorhide:

daaaaammnnnn he looks majorly messed up.  I love that dirtyed up look.  that is an awsome job.  a great improvement.  I always kinda thought he lacked in the detail dept.  I'm not saying has should have done him up like this but they could have given him your dark purple wheel coloring

Wowza!  :eek

That's one crazy paint job.  But is it just me or does that deatialing look more like dried blood than paint?  Almost looks like brushguard was sloushing through the slaughterhouse more than the backroads.

Anyways good idea and nice work.

i did the same thing to me Universe ultramagnus. your turned out pritty well i have to say

very cool idea. people should do more battle scarring and dirty bashs. :thumb

I'm sure there's red dirt somewhere on this planet. And if not, humans are squishy.

That rocks, man. Ive been a long time fan of the "battle worn" look. He looks like he's been out in the bush for a long time.
