No, it's still at the "rumor" stage.

 

My guess is that it will be the EVO, considering the whole, Prime/pick-up debacle I doubt there will be any SUVs (maybe an H2, but more likely a cross-over type vehcile like the Nissan Murano).

An H2 would be a cool choice.

 

In the race game Midnight Dub 3 I own an H2 and it is a beauty indeed. Black with red chrome and a picture of the Grim Reaper on the side. I lovingly call it "The Reaper".

 

They should really come with a cool new car as an alt instead of all these recolors.

I'm sure Hasbro would be quite happy to only use a mold once, but in turn you'd have to agree to pay $40 or so per toy.

does the skids mold count as one of the new 8 for '06??  what was the count? 8 new molds and 11 repaints??

I think your numbers might be off, wasn't it only six new molds (and I bet one of them is the Scion) for '06?

 

Even still, I think that's a bit ambitious on Hasbro's part, considering the past release schedule.

 

Yearly count for new molds:

December 2003-November 2004:  Subaru, Viper, Jeep, Corvette, Mazda = 5

December 2004-November 2005:  Mustang, Honda S2k, Acura = 3

December 2005-November 2006:  Scion, Dodge Ram, Ford GT, (3? unknowns) = 6?

 

Repaint count:

December 2003-November 2004:  Subaru, Viper = 2

December 2004-November 2005:  Jeep, Corvette, Mazda, Mustang, Corvette, Honda S2k = 7

December 2005-November 2006:  Viper, Jeep, Subaru + many more to come

6 new molds and 4 redecos. for 2006.

Another thing you have to give credit to Hasbro for is that these 3rd molds only ship in one case each, so far any way. Swerve was here and gone. Sunstreakers only in the current case. Hopefully Bar and Chet will be only in one case *hopes real hard*

I wouldn't mind if they shipped in two assortments.  I think swerve was a little *too* rare.

 

I hope they rerelease the RX-8 in purple or yellow. It is a decent car for Bumblebee if I figure.
