I think it's funny how we all debate this, however none of us know anything about the movie business :P :D Not putting us down, but just a thought. I do agree with many of the points mentioned thus far.

splendic does.

...when he posts :redface  :tfsad

this news is great stuff, the anticipation grows more and more, ........*begins building time machine*

Cullen and Welker are all I really care about.

With Latta out, Mark Hamill is my first and only real choice for Starscream. If you've seen his TimeSquad or Batman: The Animated Series, imagine some extra rasp and you know that he can not only do the voice but do it with RANGE. And he's pop culture-y enough and twisted enough to totally ham up the talk show circuit.

I also have strong suspiscions that Tom Hanks wants in. He's a Transformers fan, I believe, and buddies with Speilberg. To be honest, I could see him as any number of generic Autobots so I'm not too concerned here.

I want Cullen and Welker but beyond that, I'd just advise going the "Pixar" route and casting people who suit the characters (and may be somewhat recognizible namewise) rather than going for a celebrity extravaganza.

I would kinda dig a cameo or two from the '86 movie cast. Eric Idle or Judd Nelson would be welcome cameos given the rumors of more Autobots and Decepticons getting cameo roles.

I think reports of "Tom Hanks:  Transformers fan" should be taken with a grain of salt.

Sure, he sang the theme song on Leno, but I think he was simply doing a bit.

PS:  Mark Hamill would be a good choice.

:pfx x a million billion and a whole lot

I'm so sick of the Tom Hanks thing.

Mark Hamill might do well as Starscream, provided that he starts drinking a fifth of whisky and smokes two packs of cigarettes a day starting NOW.

Mark Hamill actually voiced wolverine in the x2 video game... and he was fricken awesome beyond words.  I tried to explain to my wife how cool it was that he went from the high pitched britishesqe joker to the tough and gruff wolverine.  IMO he is the best person to voice wolverine ever.

I'd have an easier time buying him as Wolverine than as Starscream, actually. He doesn't have a high-pitched voice. Then again, neither did Chris Latta -- he'd just shriek at the top of his lungs.

if you ever get a chance to hear his wolverine, you'll be blown away... i am sure it's available on the interwebs... but i think he could pull off an Iron Hide quite nicely

i can pull of an ironhide pretty easy. soundwave is easiest though, plus i can do it without hurting my throat.

when making the movie the producers won't want it to flop at the box office and it needs to make money. more money than it took to make it, therefore casting cullen and welker is a good move because they are well known in their field and basically created aspects of the character (especially cullen who would refuse to do a line if it didn't fit his view on optimus prime)
