So I'm not the only one, then?

Nope. The likeness to the original is dead on, and all he can provide to show he made it is a crappy 3d model. Something isn't kosher

I was discussing that with weirdo and Tf2. We all said the same thing. NOBODY gets a KB THAT dead-on.

I'm not tryin to piss in this guy's cheerios, but I'd advise everyone not to buy it. Because if it is a knockoff and a scam, you could probably find it for 5 bucks elsewhere.

:pfx with UM here

I'd say the same thing. First off, it's too perfect. Second, the plastic isn't painted. A KB would have to be painted unless it was molded, and where are molds for it he mad/ ( A good KBer would be PROUD to display those.)

Also NO self respecting KBer would use decals like those, and I had previously contacted reprolabels for a set of them for my MP trailer. They said it would cost 150 dollars to make, and that if I waited, they would have them out in a few months.

Additionally, where did he get the clear plastic for the canopy on the artillery robot? it looks too thick to be vaccuformed.

And why would a kitbash have the original square holes where the very first trailers had metal insert plates for the inside detail instead of a sticker. unnecessary detail.

In addition, there's no grate detail on the central deck. Any good kitbasher would NEVER overlook something like that if he/she was trying to make an accurate g1 copy.

Finally, if he did mold that himself, the trailer sides would at least have some warpage to it; it's the innate curse of anyamateur attempt at large-scale casting. he would have to do it in sections. And the plastic color looks to dead-on to be resin: it has that look of the original 'swirly" plastic g1's traoiler had. Not available to the KBer, but DEFINITELY available to the KO comanies.

In my 20+ years of experience in kitbashing...

THIS IS A FAKE.

i say he's a scam!!!!!

Dalianjj, what were you thinking when you posted that? Do you HONESTLY think we're a bunch of backwater hicks with no skills or intelligence? Next time you want to try to BS someone son, post that garbage at Allspark or Cosmic Rust. DON"T BRING IT AROUND HERE. We can tell what's real KBing from a KO, and it took us all of about 5 minutes to do so.
