As a collector I prefer having them more accurate to their G1 selves, so I can justify not going back and buying an orignal. If they are too different, ie Anime Starscream, I feel I need an original also.

 

However, I will agree that I like having the more cartoon acurate aspects, and coloring the eyes etc, but just once in a while. Or, perhaps clip on parts, like clip on pieces that fit over the seat in Ironhide to give him a head, and maybe even leg extensions or whatever... But that way you can have both.

 

I like the way they are doing it now, a little of each, or doing the original first, and then a second one with changes so that we can buy the ones we prefer.

I'm all for it. Slight changes like the blue on Swipes eyes or the obvious anime Starscream switcharoo, for myself, adds something new to the toy. Besides, anything that differentiates the reissue from the original is a plus, that way(generally speaking) people won't try to pawn off a forty dollar reissue as it's higher priced cousin.
