im curious to see this sucker too....I thought Unicron was destroyed in the end of energon? I didnt watch it but i just thought he would have been destroyed

According to the fiction, he's the embodiment of darkness and chaos, so he can never truly "die." That's how I see it, anyway...

That's the concept that Hasbro's going with, as well.  Essentially, he is the Yin to Primus' Yang.  One cannot exist without the other in some capacity.  Both, in their capacity as gods, are immortal/indestructible.  They can be defeated, but not entirely annihilated.

 

Deluxe Unicron represents a seed or spawn of Unicron, his godly powers at their weakest and most basic, practically himself in the early stages of reincarnation.

I dont know about you guys, but i'm really worried about how this release is going to look.
